Best

New definition to the words "perfect meal" This place is incredible!!

Worst

Nice luxurious ambiance. The truth is their steaks are burned (charbroiled) eliminating the steaks taste, thus you never know what you are eating.

Average Upscale Steakhouse 2/9/2007

My father and I went to CG for lunch on a Friday afternoon. After introducing himself the waiter disappeared. I had the burger, and pops had the lobster/crabcake sandwich. I also had a bowl of French Onion soup which came out cold, you cold tell it had been sitting in the back for a while. The food was pretty good, but not better than other fine steakhouses such as Morton's and Grazianos. Also, that night my father and I both felt sick. Aside from having amazing key lime pie, I could take it or leave it. Pros: Key Lime Pie Cons: Service, Value more

Best restaurant 12/16/2006

Not what we expected, rude staff and manager , reservations not honored; food was fair but not what it was build up to be. Would not go back for the price. Pros: parking Cons: service, management, price more

"Hollywood Meets Steak." 7/17/2006

When one savors the true taste of what a dry-aged, tender, well-seasoned, succulent piece of steak is like, only the privileged can validate to have placed their taste buds to the test to what The Capital Grille can provide. This had to have been the greatest time I have ever had in a restaurant next to "The Royal Treatment" I experienced at Baleen. The 24-oz. Signature Porterhouse was so profound and amazing, that after about a month, I could still savor the taste of it in my mouth. Like at Baleen, the manager, chef, and chief hostess, greeted me and my group graciously upon arrival. A private seating arrangement was made in the restaurant and the experience was simply amazing. Hollywood has met its match...in steak of course. -L.A. Pros: Everything. Cons: None. more

Great service and food 4/10/2006

We had a great server name Jack- he was pleasent and funny. Our reservations were at 10pm so I really didnt want to eat steak because i know that to digest it was going to be horrible. So i Order their lobster tail-AWSOME- try their great salads and Soups.. Great place to eat but very costly... we spent over $800 for a party of 6... Excellent place to dine. Pros: excellent food, seafood was great Cons: very expensive. more

Best Steak? Best Food? Naaaaaah! 5/25/2005

I don't know where these other reviewers were eating but Capital Grille could HARDLY be considered the best in Miami in the best steak or best dining catagory. I ordered the filet mignon which was over cooked and burnt on places. It was hardly delicious. The presentation on the food was horrible. Considering that my filet was $32 and my 2 lb lobster was $42 you would think that beautiful trays of food would be coming out. But instead the lack luster appearance of the food combined with the so-so steak drained any enthusiasm left for your dining experience. I felt like I was eating at the Sizzler and not a highly recommened steak house. Pros: friendly staff, wine selection Cons: food presentation, food selection more

Best Steak you will ever taste! 3/11/2004

I am a steak lover and I've been to several steakhouses including Christy's. Captial Grille's meat is like none other, perhaps due to the fact that it is aged meat. I've been there about 5 times and each time the service has been phenomenal. The waiters are courteous and explain the dry aged process to you so you understand what it is your ordering. Nice ambience, not overcrowded- you definitely get your money's worth. more

Not just great steaks... 7/14/2003

Capitol Grille serves GREAT dry aged beef. Thats been established. Everyone knows. What they might not know, however, is the many other outstanding offerings the restaurant provides. Ive recently has some of their fish dishes and they are amazingly fresh and delicately prepared. The lunch Tuna Filed Salad with a sun dried tomato vinagrette is a perfect light lunch. And speaking of salads, the spinach salad with warm bacon vinagrette is a great dinner appetizer. They also feature the WEDGE, a crisp wedge of Iceberg lettuce with a decadent Blue Cheese dressing. In recent visits, lunch guests (or hopefully hosts!) have ordered from Stone Crabs to an outstanding Burger. I would say it would rank top 5 Miami burgers. Food is always consistent. The Capitol Grille feels more like a Nice club than a restaurant. Service is very professional. The staff is well trained. Membership only requires a reservation! Pros: Great Beef, Varied Menu, Good Service Cons: Not Cheap more
