Last night we wasted an entire hour standing in the lobby while there were empty tables across the entire restaurant. I invited my design and marketing group to Downtown Columbus for the concert on Broadway. My partner and I decided to try some food while waiting for the main act (Blues Brothers Impersonators). We came into the Cannon and asked how long the wait would be. The Hostess promised that it would take no more than 20 minuts, so we waited, and waited and waited. We waited long enough for half of the tables in the main dining area to be empty, but still no service. I finally asked the hostess if we could at least take our seat rather than just stand there. "No, I'm sorry but we ran out of dishes but are almost ready". We wait another 20 minutes and they call someone else. (Did I mention that this entire time they kept saying we were next?). At this point we decided to leave, but I looked for the manager on duty to explain the problem. I explained the circumstance and that my entire Marketing Group had been waiting on us. At this the overweight hostess decided to say "There were only two of you", in some odd attempt to try and disprove the people outside waiting for me. I will be calling the owners of this property today and releasing the first negative Press Release we have ever had the misfortune of writing. The experience was terrible and for the first time ever I have to give a negative review to a restaurant
