I ordered cupcakes for s friend's birthday. Nothing intricate, just standard flavors, spell out HAPPY BIRTHDAY_________, ( one letter per cupcake) and simple flowers on the remaining cupcakes. First got the time wrong and fkavors weren't available When I arrived, cupcakes were freestanding in a large box. ( try keeping them upright going down any street in Waco.) The frosting was dropping off several cupcakes and the letters---let's say a six year old could've done as well. Taste was bland and texture was crumbly and not in a good way. Wish I had listened to my inner voice. I will next time! I won't be back. more

I ordered my wedding cake and grooms cake from this bakery. They did an AMAZING job! The delivered it set it up! It was just how I imagined it! The cakes tasted amazing. They did an awesome job and I recommend to anyone! more

I love the Cake Box...have ordered all our birthday and special occasion cake's from here and never had an issue. Cakes always looked great and tasted great. Although I do have to say I have not ordered a 2 tier cake from here...regular cakes are always great. more

Horrible and falling apart 1/15/2012

Went to my nephews birthday party who is in love with angry birds. It was suppose to be a two tiered Angry Bird cake and the picture is beautiful. Cake was 200$ and when received it was falling apart and the the red Angry Bird looked like a fish. It wasn't worth what was paid. The owner should give the money back to my sister. Over 60 people were at the party and no one will ever use The Cake Box. more

Terrible Business Ethics 12/7/2011

I put down a $425 deposit for my wedding cake. After I received a phone call asking for the rest of the money in cash only, I felt a little uneasy and decided to go with a different bakery. I asked the owner if I could have my deposit back since I would not be using her for my wedding cake. She stated that she would keep $50 of the deposit, in which I thought was fair; however, she now will not give me back any of my money. I think this is very unfair since she did nothing for me!!! I would never recommend this business to anyone!!!! more

After reading these reviews, I have decided to find another bakery for our wedding cake. Reviews seem very negative. Thanks to all of you who took the time to place your comments. It may have prevented us from a disaster. more

disappointed 2/16/2011

I ordered a two tiered cake for my daughter's 4th birthday party and was very disappointed with the cake. The bottom teir had a big dip in the center and it make both teirs lopsided. If I was a professional bakery like The Cake Box claims to be there is no way I was sell a cake as horrible looking as the one I was sold. I will never return to this bakery. more

Worst cake bakery ever 9/23/2010

I would never recommend this bakery to anyone, when I ordered my childrens baptism cake here we went over what it was to look like and the picture I had was beautiful, When I went to pick up the cake it was in no way what we had talked about. She said she would do it over to fix it but I had not time the baptism started at a certain time and I had to get my family prepared. The handwritting on the cake was awful and as big as the cake was even the decorations she put on it were really small. Never again will I do business here, she would not even refund my money or give a discount. Horrible Service. more

Not as described 2/24/2010

I ordered a cake for a vow renewal and was sadly disapointed. I was shown intricate scrollwork and was told it would be on my cake. I got a very ugly, plain white piping on a white cake. All of the piping and borders on this cake was white, nothing like what I was shown in the shop. No intricate scrollwork at all! Will not order from again. more

The Cake Box 8/6/2005

I ordered my step sons graduation cake from The Cake Box. They did a two tier cake with the school colors. It was a chocolate cake with Gold/Yellow icing and the writting was in Black. It had a YellowJacket on the front and said Congratulations Graduation 2005. It was a beautiful cake and they did an excellent job on it. The cost was very affordable and I will definately use them again. more
