I have a soft spot for The Broken Rack... it may be a little dark, maybe a little dingy, but hey! it is a pool hall after all! Have you ever heard of a sanitized pool hall? Me neither! It is what it is! The place is ample, the food is what's expected from a pool hall, the drinks are, well, drinks! And they have a little smoking room... pretty convenient if I do say so myself. My only complaint would be that the digital jukebox likes to play whatever she wants, regardless of what you paid her to play, so, be aware! more

Casual environment 9/4/2005

The Broken Rack is located across the street from the movie theatre and food market. They have an indoor smoking lounge and a private VIP room available too. They also have a couple snooker tables if you play that. Good Brunswick tables and good house sticks if you don't have your own cue. Service is great but the place doesn't get poppin untill the night scene and on weekends. I would recommend this place if your ever in the East Bay. more
