Lots of books but messy 4/12/2006

This place is fairly amazing, and if you are a book lover, you should definitely check it out. It is a run down old place, and the books are just stacked all over the place. The whole store is just filled with books, which is all great until you are actually trying to look for something and trying to manuever around in this crazy mess that the owner has going on. Parking is also not the easiest here as it is fairly limited. And if the store is crowded, it makes it that much more difficult to get around. more

Books for fun 9/26/2005

The Book Rack has a huge selection of books for one to choose. They are all used books, so some of them don't have the brand new quality. However, the place is full of books, wall to wall. And, even though there is load of books, the owner some how manages to keep them organized. This is a great place to go to if you are in the mood to read a book, but you don't know which book to read. There are so many random books, it is inevitable to find something that will spark your interest. more

dirty bookstore 8/4/2005

this is a seedy little place downtown. I'm surprised it hasn't been torn down and turned into a club yet. I guess the owner is holding out. Here, the books are literally stacked to the ceiling. The guy probably has 100,000 books in his tiny store, and he has mirrors up everywhere so he can keep an eye on his customers; without them, he wouldn't be able to see for all the books. He also sells comics if you're into that. It's dusty, musty, and good luck finding anything. Oh, and the owner is hidden behind stacks of more books, where he rings up your order. He can be a little testy at times. more
