I've been using various products from The Body Shop since I was 12 -- not religiously mind you, since I can't afford to purchase their products all the time -- but I love the fact that they will return products no questions asked (I've had a few bad reactions over the years) and that they do a lot of community trading.
The last time I returned something they actually asked me a question -- did I use the product? I told them I did but needed to return it because I had a bad reaction. They said it wasn't a problem, they just needed to know if they could put the product back on the shelf. Otherwise products that have been used and returned get donated to women's shelters. I thought that was really cool -- I figured all returned products that were used stayed in the store and used as product testers, but the cashier told me otherwise and told me that I could feel good about buying *and* returning products.
I also really like their home fragrances. Unfortunately they discontinued a fragrance I really liked (over the years I've seen that happen to many of my favourite products), but I found one I like almost as much. I'll admit, these can get downright overpowering at times (you can smell this stuff almost halfway down the mall sometimes), but just add some more water to the reservoir and that should take care of that.
Recently they instituted a member rewards program called Love Your Body. With this card, which is $10 but good towards your first purchase, you save 10% on your entire purchase throughout the year. Spend $20 or more and you receive a stamp (well, you *used* to, now it's automated), spend $50 or more and you get two of them.
After 4 stamps you get a $15 credit (that you have to use the day you're eligible) and after 8 stamps you get $25 plus free membership for the next year. If you go in your birth month you also receive $10 credit (at least I think; I always forget to go in -- grr)
The Body Shop has great products for men and women and always have the best packaging on their gift sets.
