The Bird & Exotic Hospital

The Bird and Exotic Hospital is wonderful to my four guinea pigs. The owner/vet and employees truly adore their patients. And they went way beyond and above merely caring for the runt of my piglets; no doctor has given anywhere near the care for me or my husband that Dr. Rolfe and her staff at Bird and Exotic Hospital recently gave my guinea pig Calico. She first lost a lot of her hair and then three weeks ago began bleeding. I really didn't want her to have a hysterectomy, but testing showed she'd die without one. Not only did my sweet little piggy need blood transfusions from her real mom and sister but the vet stayed overnight in her clinic monitoring Calico three or four nights and taking her home on other nights. Monday, I take Calico to have her stitches removed, and I'm so grateful this super competent and compassionate doctor at the Bird and Exotic Hospital will do it. I brought my precious guinea pigs to Dr. Rolfe several times and on several emergent occasions. She has always treated my animals and myself with kindness, understanding, and compassion and has saved their lives on numerous occasions. In fact, when my little guy needed emergency surgery, she came in at 1am to do it... and he recovered quickly and is now happy and healthy! Dr. Rolfe is well educated and has a lot of experience and it shows!! She sees all exotics and avian friends, sells high-end pet foods, and provides boarding services. Her staff is also highly competent and kind. The office is clean and pleasant to be in. I have no hesitations in recommending her for both emergency and routine visits. more
