I DO take my dog there 5/15/2012

I have taken my dog to the Barking Lot in Deerfield every business day for three years. He was mauled at his last daycare, and nearly died. Both he and I were gunshy, but the staff at the Barking Lot helped us both be comfortable. He is loved there, and starts getting excited about his day before he can get out of the car. He fiercely wags his tail when he sees members of the staff, and never even looks back when I leave. I've had to leave him overnight without warning because of business emergencies, and they have cared for him without missing a beat. In short, this is the BEST place in the northern suburbs that you can take your dog. I can't recommend it enough! Pros: null Cons: null more

A DOG'S SUBURBAN SPA !!!!!!!!!! 2/1/2009

I HAD TRIED TWO OTHER LOCAL DOGGIE DAY CARE FACILITIES BEFORE I DISCOVERED THE BARKING LOT. THE FACILITIES ARE TOP NOTCH BUT THE PERSONELL ARE EVEN BETTER. I HAVE TAKEN OUR LABRADOODLE TO THE BARKING LOT FOR OVER A YEAR AND SHE LOVES IT. IT IS EXTREMELY CLEAN, WELL RUN AND BETTER YET MEETS OUR CRITERIA FOR PROVIDING OUR DOG WELL SUPERVISED EXERCISE, ESPECIALLY DURING THE WINTER. THE PLAY AREA IS LARGE AND WELL ATTENDED. YOU CAN EVEN GO HOME AND WATCH YOUR DOG PLAY WITH OTHER DOGS ON THE BARKING LOT WEBCAM. THE PEOPLE WHO WORK WITH THE DOGS KNOW EACH DOG BY NAME AND EVEN MATCH THEM UP WITH "PLAYMATES" THEY WILL PLAY WITH BEST. THE DOGS GET A WELL DESERVED "REST PERIOD" WHEN NEEDED. I HAVE RECCOMENDED THE BARKING LOT TO OUR FRIENDS WHO HAVE TOLD ME THAT THEY HAVE HAD A SIMILAR EXPERIENCE. I CONSIDER THE BARKING LOT OUR DOG's SPA IN THE SUBURBS. Pros: AMPLE PARKING, VERY CLEAN , STAFF WELL EDUCATED IN THE CARE AND EXERCISE OF DOGS. Cons: NONE more

I wouldn't Take My Dog There 7/25/2008

I love dogs. I have two poodles, and recently visited. For the good of your dogs, avoid this place. The place is brand new, yet unclean, the staff inexperienced.
