This place is amazing. I cannot say that enough! I have been going there for seven years and I have never had anything but beautiful hair. Amber (my stylist) is excellent. She has done short cuts and long cuts perfectly. Lately I have been getting their keratin hair treatments and they are truly amazing. Everywhere I go people are telling me my hair looks fabulous, even my four year old has noticed! I know it's a lot of money, but it is sooo worth it! You should try it out. I absolutely love this place and their services. more

Excellent experience and great staff 9/22/2010

Great salon and so very friendly. Been a customer for over 15 years. They offer great services and are always so flexible, making every effort to meet your schedule. Excellent color and wonderful cuts. Now offering Keratin and it is fabulous. Must visit soon. All the stylist are very friendly and are willing to work with you to have the style you want. Great salon choice 1/13/2009

This is an Aveda salon located in a charming old house in downtown Lawrenceville. It has hardwood floors, wooden antiques, and a very hospitable atmosphere. The receptionist will make you Aveda tea upon request, or there is usually coffee available. I love Aveda products, so everything smells really good. The stylists are largely experienced and will consult with you on a good cut. The services are a little pricey, but that's to be expected with Aveda, and discount coupons are sometimes available at the Aveda retail store at the Mall of Georgia (usually for their newer stylists). If you're an Aveda fan, or like natural botanicals, this is a great choice. more

Excellent Salon! 6/20/2008

I was referred by a friend to have Lori Taylor style my hair at this salon. I am so glad I did! She is wonderful person who cares what and how her clients feel. She literally took 10 years off of me by just styling my hair. It's a pleasurable experience from the moment you walk in the door. You are immediately met with a warm and welcoming staff. I highly recommend this salon and Lori! I am looking forward to my next visit. I don't usually write reviews, however I felt so strongly about the people and service I received at this salon to take the time and do this. When a company goes above and beyond it should be noted. Although I have a feeling that "excellent, warm, welcoming" type of service is the norm for The Artisan Gathering. I'm glad I was lead to them! Great Salon!! 4/23/2008

I moved away from Lawrenceville for a few years and have returned to The Arrtisan...Kristi is my stylist and it is the same comfortable salon, friendly, great customer service, wonderful hair cut and color. It is so nice to come back to a salon where the same stylists are still at the salon...no turnover...that is a good thing...means they are happy! They stay updated with current trends, products, information. And being an Aveda salon is great too. So happy that Kristi is back from maternity leave. I refer The Artisan which means I get $10 off for each referral which I love!!! And they have a rewards program...spend $100 on Aveda products and I get any product free. How nice is that?? Excellent salon 4/22/2008

After relocationg to Gwinnett County, I needed to find a hair salon! Thank goodness for this website, because it gave me options and reviews. My first appointment @ The Artisan was wonderful, loved my hair, the atmosphere, & the genuine professionalism of all. My stylist is Kimberly Whitfield, who I highly reccommend. Friends and family have complimented on the subtle changes of the color and cut, and, my third appointment with the salon is this week. Declining Service 3/18/2008

I used to love the Artisan Gathering, but I have been disappointed of late. My stylist Kristi has been MIA since she had her baby, and her hours are way too limited to ever get an appointment :-(. The administrative staff have been uninfomed/or deceptive in communications. I recently called to change an appointemnt and was told it had already been cancelled. I never would have known if I hadn't called! I hope Kristi REALLY comes back soon and that the appointment setters learn some professionalism or I will be looking for a new salon. The Artisan Gathering is just too pricey to get mediocre service. Pros: Great Stylists Cons: Can't Get Appointment more

My Favorite Salon 8/10/2007

I was looking for a new hairdresser and I asked a friend ( who's hair always looks fantastic) who did her hair. She refered me to Amber at The Artisan Gathering and I've been a loyal customer for almost 2 years now.On the first visit, Amber offered very good advice on the cut and color I was looking for and she does the same every time I go in, because I usually don't know what I'm going to do until I'm in her chair. Amber and the staff are always friendly and fun. I have a couple of friends who now go to Amber and we all always look forward to our appointment. Best Salon Experience 8/10/2007

I absolutely love this place! I moved to Georgia 6 years ago and I was looking for a salon that used Aveda products. I'm from Minnesota so Aveda products are all I have ever used. The Aveda store at the Mall of Georgia recommended the Artisan Gathering, I booked my first appointment and have been a loyal customer ever since! Amber Haga is my stylist and she is the best, she is not only my stylist but I feel like she is my friend. She works with me when I'm indecisive about my color or style and I'm always a willing participant when she has a new color technique to try out becasue I know I will always come out looking great! My friends tell me how natural my hair looks and I feel I owe that to Amber. If your looking for a relaxing atmosphere and friendly service this is the place for you!! Shear Delight!! 3/28/2007

Shear Delight!! The Artisan Gathering is a welcome change from the gimmicky and unpersonable mall type salons - it was just a completely wonderful experience. I have frequented expensive salons in Buckhead and also salons around the Mall of Georgia and this salon was just a joy to find. The atmosphere is so friendly and bright and comfortable and all the personnel make you feel like you are at home - I didn't want to leave!! I saw Wanda for highlights and cut and she was great - she spent a lot of time on my highlights trying to achieve a more complimentary highlight pattern and the final product was worth the wait! Not to mention the amount of personal attention taken to make sure I got the results I wanted. When it came time to pay I actually thought I underpaid for the services I received. I spent a very relaxing and comfortable part of my afternoon at that house and I felt like I was part of a family - all the sylists were so friendly and all the customers seemed very happy to be there and with the services they were receiving. This salon is truly a delight and I am so happy I found it! Pros: Professional, Skilled Stylists, Friendly, Comfortable, Fun Cons: None! more

Best hairdresser I have ever had 2/22/2007

Kristi Christman is the best hairdresser I have ever had. The Artisan Gathering is a wonderful salon. It is by far the best experience in salons I have ever had from California, Washington, Florida and Georgia! The people are super friendly and helpful. No snobby people here. You know how you as for advice and don't get it? Here they work with you to create the perfect color, the perfect style and you don't feel rushed. Pros: all pros Cons: no cons more

LOVE THIS PLACE! 2/7/2007

The Artisan Gathering is my favorite salon. I have moved several times around the country, and recently my husband and I moved to Georgia. I am a religious Aveda user, and I only go to Aveda salons. My first visit to the Artisan Gathering was a few months ago. The atmospere is calm, and comforting. The staff is very kind, and you are offered a drink as soon as you come in the door. The salon itself is in an old house, and this gives you a sense of "feeling at home". The stylists also give you the same feeling, they make you feel welcome. Unlike many salons I've been to, I didn't feel like stylist was trying to rush me out of her chair, she seemed to really care about me, and my HAIR! If you love your hair as much as I do, do yourself a favor and book an appointment with one of the ladies at the Artisan Gathering!! Best Hair Salon 8/19/2006

This is an AVEDA concept salon. I have been going to The Artesian Gathering for almost 9 years. The stylists are very in tune with the lastest trends and fashion. Everyone at this salon makes you feel a part of the family. Jenny, Laurie, Amber, Wanda, Christy are fabulous! The stylists will listen to your concerns and questions. You will never leave unhappy. They pride themselves in their customer service and the talents as hair consultants/stylists. I wouldn't go anywhere else. The Artesian Gathering is truly the best in Atlanta! The Artisan Garthering is a warm and inviting salon. I saw LeAnne, and she was very knowledgeable about Aveda color. She did an excellent job on my highlights and haircut. I am getting married in less than a month, and I saw Kimberly for my practice run, and I love everything that she suggested! Can't wait to the actaul day and see everything together!!
