The art institutes in general is a absolute scam!! Make sure u read the fine print of everything you sign! They never warn you about anything or any due dates. You can get the same education in every art college and academy everywhere in the United States don't waste your money. They don't even know your name when coming for a campus tour also their college is an office building... Not a campus at all which again makes it look like they are out only for ur money that's how badly they want your money.... If you have that kind of money that's great but I highly recommend a O'More college of design, Memphis college of design, the art academy in cincinatti Ohio more

This school is way over priced! They promise to help you find a job after graduation only to shove you out the door as soon as you graduate. Some of the classes that were needed for my career choice weren't offered. Most of the teaching staff were very unhelpful and rushed through the curriculum. After you graduate you are left feeling like you could have been taught alot more than was offered...especially for the money. I am very dissapointed in this school. Total waste of money. more

Don’t get me wrong, this school is in need of some improvement… The admissions people are WAY to pushy and don’t come off friendly as they should. They need to STOP hiring new admissions people and start focusing on better instructors and better equipment for the programs then people actually might stop tearing this place down so much. \r However, on a lighter note, I’ve been attending this school sense 2009 and have had my fair share of irritations and complicates… as anyone would at any school. But I have enjoyed myself, I have learned things that I would have never learned on my own. I enjoy almost every professor that I have ever had… they are knowledgeable and willing to listen and help you understand what you don’t. The networking is good, I had accumulated many freelance opportunities because of fellow students I’ve meant and the Career Services Department. \r Now when it comes to Financial Aide and Career Services I personally think that they do a wonderful job. They have always been more than willing to help myself, and my fellow classmates out when they have a question or are in need or assistance. \r This place is not as bad as everyone makes it sound. They do need to work on how to better approach students and how to benefit them in the long run. I do however believe that the biggest concern I have with this school is the amount of money it costs and the director of Video Production. He is not suit to teach or run a Video Department what so ever. He is all about his own opinion and less about preparing students for the real world of filmmaking. All I have to say is that the Video Department is VERY lucky to have the instructors that they do otherwise it would suck terribly. \r I strongly believe that people who are so disgruntled with this school is because; 1) they either refuse to move after graduation to a state that would supply them with better career opportunities so they get mad at the school for the lack of help (YOU CAN’T BE IN A CREATIVE CAREER AND EXPECT TO MAKE ANY MONEY IN OHIO – DUH!) 2) they’re upset with the loans they have to take out and pay for (APPLY FOR SCHOLORSHIPS, THEY’RE OUT THERE – I KNOW) and 3) They have not applied themselves in school or out of school so they are pissed that they are failing (YOU HAVE TO TRY HARDER THAN THE CLASS ROOM – NOTHING WILL BE HANDED TO YOU IN LIFE) \r Over all, this place has it’s flaws but I strongly believe that the staff is FINALLY starting to listen to the student body. You will not succeed as a school if you don’t listen to what the students have to say… I hope they keep that in mind for the future. \r more

At first, I really wanted a creative education at Ai. DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL for they are money hungry Sharks!! As I progressed through the enrollment process, I discovered very quickly that what was BEST for ME was NOT important. Because I had personal issues that made it impossible for me to start school when they wanted, they HOUNDED me with so many nasty phone calls, especially from the Director of Admissions, that it made me cry. I was told by her that if I didn't start school when they wanted, I COULD NOT ATTEND Ai. I later found out that it was a lie and was just a tactic to get me to start school sooner than what was BEST for me. Once I signed all the paperwork, most everyone, except my admissions rep, was so pushy and unfriendly. I am the customer. I thought, why are they treating me in such a negative way. I found out later from students who attended Ai-Cincinnati that there was an EXTREME amount of turnover in all departments: instructors, executive management, admissions and EVERY other deparment they have there. That by itself says something about a business when so many employees leave in all departments. Ai-Cincinnati is a terrible school with mean people. *** BEWARE *** more

I have been at the Art Instute of Ohio- Cincinnati for about two years now, and I also started the summer of 2007, and I dont know what caused such a huge chip on the last persons shoulder. First of all, Financial Aid has been EXTREMLY helpful to me, and extremly patient and Super nice. Everything is always explained to me very well. \r Second of all, the Library is AWESOME! And the woman that runs the library is a sweet older woman, haha! I don't understand where they^^ are coming from. Sounds like maybe they just have an attitude problem.\r Third of all, there are always computers that can be used, in the library or in one of the labs.\r AND there is a major consistancy in instrucors, it's actually almost too consistant, I hope they bring in more staff soon, but the instructors we do have are all very helpful and all have a masers degree and do know what they are talking about. \r AND the bathrooms are clean, the design of the sinks is a little messy but... it is by no means disgusting. \r My instructors have always helped me to pass a class I am having trouble in, and they are always willing to work one on one with any student.\r Career Services is also always there to help you, and follow you for 6 months after graduation helping you with job searches. They bring in employers from all around to the graduating class's portfolio show.\r \r There are also plenty of clubs and organizations, but since the school is so new they had been struggling for a turn up. We are still growing.\r \r PLUS the school always brings in free food wether from the culinary class (YUM) or pizza or candy, and they always have guest speakers in, and last year they had a prisma color speaker come in who handed out like a hundred dollars worth of stuff! That was awesome.\r \r My only complaints of the school would be that the vending machines are expencive, and that they took out the webscripting class for graphic design students, and they dont teach associate degree graphic design students flash or dreamweaver ether.. so that does suck. It is a very expencive school. The dean of graphic design is probably the only person I've met at that school who is not Super nice. But I havnt been the best of students so that could be why!\r I also want to add the student store in campus is awesome, and you get HUGE discounts on everything from top of the line camera's to software to dorm supplies on the online student store. I'm talking you can save $500 dollars on one thing! There is also a printing cage in campus which is very handy.\r \r Over-all I think it's a good school. Yet this is the only college I've ever attended.\r \r I stumbled across that last review, and had to comment, because these are flat out lies! Geeze.\r \r \r A lof of the students I have class with complain a lot about the school also, but I dont really know why... but what I said above is true and maybe I like to see the glass half full, maybe my expectations are lower, I dont know what it is. The field of art and design is a very stressful career path, and so I'm thinking stress is what has these students being doubtful and blaming the school for their feelings of inadaquisy ( I cant spell) which is crazy, but understandable. Pros: Good equiptment, library and instructors, nice people Cons: expencive, needs to be a little more organized maybe more

I have been going to this school since July of 2007 when this location was first opened. I thought it was a little rocky because they were still figuring things out but it's only gotten worse since I've been there. The only reason I have stayed in this hell hole is because your credits are only transferable to other Art Institutes. Financial aid is TERRIBLE. They are rude and have no idea what they're doing. They'll do anything to get more money out of you and to keep you from taking out money that is yours! They will hire any dumb ass off the streets as an instructor because they have such a high staff turn-over. You never see the same instructor two quarters in a row. If you are struggling with the class or the teacher doesn't know how to explain things, plan on taking the class again. No one will help you to undertsand, they will just fail you and make you take it over again to get more money and to make you stay longer. I should have graduated in June and it is now going to be next March because they have done this to me several times. The whole place is disgusting, there is never soap in the bathroom and the stalls are gross. There is never an empty computer lab for those who don't have access to a computer or for those who need to do class work. The ""library"" is pathetic. The woman that works there is a bitch and the shelves are completly bare. I could go on for days.... PLEASE DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I MADE. Pros: NONE. Cons: EVERYTHING! more
