The Aloha Monkey Tattoo

I went there with my own idea. I wanted my boyfriend's initials wrapped around a small heart already on my foot. A lady was asking me what I wanted and I tried to explain it to her. When she asked me what the letters meant I told her and she said "Do you know how many initials I've had to cover up?" I thought about saying do you know that I'm paying you to put what I want on my skin...she looked like she should be sitting behind a desk somewhere. She had no tattoos that I could see and I felt more like I was going to the doctor than getting a tattoo. I chose something else not wanting to deal with the uncomfortable "arguement". To speed the story up a little bit I got a Hotwheels tattoo on my shoulder and it is horrible! She told me everything had to be outlined in black---which, no...it doesnt. The letters are uneven and she did her own colors and shadowing...which turned out horrible. I wouldnt think it would be that hard when I have a picture of what I want...but I guess it is. I will NEVER go back there again! Pros: Ummm....yeah Cons: No talent, overpriced, you get stuck with the junk work for the rest of your life! more

Ive got most of my ink at aloha monkey, mainly because i know they will do a great job. the price reflects it unfortuantely, but great art isnt inexpensive. ive gotten work done by 2 artists there, and both did a great job. they are very professional, clean, and sanitary. they also do awesome custom draw-ups as well. This place is great for piercings! I got my tongue pierced by no cryin ryan malone and he did a great job at helping me relax and reassuring me that it would be quick and painless.
