Having the opportunity to go there the other night, I was very very impressed with the Alley Grille Steakhouse. First off, the setting and decor is very very romantic - dim lights, piano player, wood paneling, well dressed staff). They have a great wine list (I recommend the David Bruce Pinot Noir) and a great menu with a wide selection of delicious food. I had the Prime Rib, which had a bit too much fat on it, but otherwise was very delicious and matched well with my selection of vino.
The staff here is seriously amazing. Our waitress always came at exactly the right times and the busboys removed our plates/dishes the second that we were done with them. The staff here works like a finely oiled machine.
The prices are on the high side, for wine and food expect to pay in the ~$80 range add desert and tip and you're in the $120 range. Nonetheless, this is the perfect place to take a date, although I'm not sure I'd recommend it for a first date.
