The Afternoon 4/16/2006

The Afternoon is a nice gift shop for unusual and eclectic gifts but I feel the selection of items has decreased in recent years. I used to always stop in this store to browse and always found something I had to have or give someone but lately not much interests me in the shop. I don't know if they have a different buyer or more competition but I wish The Afternoon of a few years back would come back! more

This store has many different things to look through and some great products. Some of the products are a little expensive, but they are worth the money spent. The employees are helpful and will help you find whatever you are looking for. A wonderful store! more

Fun and Funky 7/16/2005

The store has many items from books to vases to decorative items and even cooking utensils. We had been looking for a corn cutter- had looked at Linens N Things, Williams Sonoma, etc. and could not find one. Happened to spot one here. They have many crafty types of items and specialized books which are particularly good for traveling companions! Such as 5 Minute Murder Mysteries, etc. It is fun to look around and you will probably find something you have to buy even if you go in (as I did because I am traveling) not to buy (and have to take it home.) more
