These guys are nice, and the delivery people are always courteous, but it's losing some points because the food doesn't seem particularly Thai to me. Nothing tastes quite like I think it should. I say this as someone who has lived in Thailand for three years and traveled to many parts of the country. I wonder if it's something to do with the availability of ingredients or Americans generally prefer blander versions of traditional dishes? I'd just for once like to order from a Thai restaurant and receive food that tastes like Thai food. more

I feel as though I'm just kind of stuck with this restaurant as there are so few Thai delivery services in this area. The food is usually alright, but not particularly Thai tasting - very Americanized. I'm just sick of the delivery people not being able to find my apartment depute the detailed information I provide on the order form. I had to chase up the order through Grub Hub. Food arrived cold and drinks arrived warm. Very unpleasant. And thanks Grubhub for the $5 coupon, but surely the restaurant could have been a little more proactive in this situation and actually read the directions on the order form, or possibly at least have gotten out of the car and looked for the apartment. more

Loved our meal! The delivery estimated time was 60 minutes but our food arrived not more than 20 minutes after ordering!! It was even so hot that we needed to let it have a minute to cool! I have never had that happen from any restaurant I've ordered from before. The crab rangoon, panang curry, and pad thai were delicious. Definitely ordering from here again!! more

Best Thai around! 7/12/2008

Don't get me wrong, this place looks like a sketchy hole in the wall, but the food is outstanding! I got the chicken pad thai and my friend got pork fried rice. Both were fantastic! So flavorful and good sized portions. They also have delivery which is convenient. All I can say is that this place is by far better than Brown Sugar and I'm sorry I found it after living in Boston for so long. Pros: Food Cons: Ambience more

I have been living in Allston for 7 years, walked by this place many but never recognized there is a small restaurant called Thai Place. Last night My friends took me to this place and we had such a great time. It was the best Thai food I ever had. The owner was lovely and really nice, helpful. I had Mango Curry ( the owner recommended ). My friends had Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles, They both loved them. I definitely go back to this place. Writing about it makes me hungry again! Best Thai Delivery 10/23/2005

I have to say that I am a big fan of delivery. I love thai food,but it is difficult to have good thai food delivered to my home. Thai food is good only when you eat it hot ( just right out of the kitchen). I have not been happy with any thai delivery until I discivered Thai Place Restaurant. It took about 40-45 minutes seem to be a little long to me, but I am really happy that they bring their food from the kitchen directly to my door. I think that is why it take a little longer than others. Overall I have the best thai-delivery food ever, period. more

I have been their customer for 3 years and see how the restaurant change, I really like it. They really show how they love doing this business. They take customer recommend seriously. This is what I think every restauant should do. The food is the best. Service is incomparable. I recommend Thai Place Restaurant. Pros: fast, cheap, take-out more
