Thai Pan Restaurant

Such an unfriendly restaurant we had been to. \r \r First of all the guy waiter was unfriendly, did not even get a proper welcome. When we seated, we asked them if they serve vegetarian No-meat, no-Chicken, no-sea-food? They said ""O yes"" and when we started the order, we ordered for ""Vegetarian Summer spring roll"" (they promised us it will be made with Tofu and there will be no-meat). Ordered fried rice, they promised they will make it with no Fish or oyster sauce as well. Told them again that we are Vegerarians and please be careful. this time the lade waiteress promised us they will make sure. she even wrote it down. And later they gave us spring-roll with shrimp in it. I had eaten a piece but my wife observed after I ate :( \r \r wen we complained the manager acted like it is no big deal. he was with an attitude ""So what?"" not even a sorry for messed up order :(. When I said this is Stupid they did not care after so much of promising, he said ""No"" its not stupid. ""you want an other one? we won't charge you for this. (The manager name was Shawn (but Asian) he said)"" What a bunch of idiots/morons? Either they don't know how to talk to customers or just plain stupid. \r \r If you care for a vegetarian food or someone who expect a decent welcome and service, I would say never step in here. STAT AWAY! THIS IS SUCH A BAD PLACE. more

I had a craving for Thai food, and after searching for places in Allen, I landed on this one. I walked in not knowing what to expect, and was pleasantly surprised. I asked for take out so I got seated at the bar. I am a vegetarian, so when I asked about the menu, he said that they could make any dish vegetarian. Mmmm I had the Panang curry but asked for more veggies which he said no problem. He was really nice, and joked with me the whole time and while I was waiting, I had Jasmine tea, and after telling him how much I loved it, he gave me a massive cup of it to go FOR FREE! This restaurant is going to be a weekly thing for me, and a place to go when we have guests. more

Food there was just plain to ok. There are better Thai food in the neighborhood. However, the server was extremely rude when he found out we tipped him just 10-15% of the food price charged. We did bring our kids with us but I don't think we should have tip him more for his mediocre service. I will warn everyone I know not ever go to this restaurant. more

We've been visiting Thai Pan for several years now, and every time the experience is first rate. We especially love the summer rolls and corn patties for starters, and Panang curry, pad gra pow and the veggie lover plate for dinner. A banana boat (fried banana and ice cream) is just the right finale. The service is attentive and friendly. Definitely a favorite choice when we entertain guests--they remember Thai Pan as a highlight of their visit with us. If you are vegetarian (like me) you will appriciate the fact that they will gladly accomodate you. Thai Pan is GREAT! This is family restaurant ,they've got very helpful cook and really good food. The many times I've been here, there been very crowd one the weekend, because of their food much be very delicious, generally good service, good price, I like tom yum soup, pad thai chicken, sweet rice with mango is wonderful, don't forget to try thai tea is very good. also they do delivery on Tue-Thur dinner time only. I always recommend this place to my friend. more

I've been going to Thai Pan for a couple years now and I really love them. Their food is fantastic- you can't go wrong with their curries. My personal favorite is a big bowl of soup- the one with the coconut milk base (forgot the name). The combination of chicken, Thai mushrooms, spiral flakes of ginger, curry paste, and veggies make this their most delectable soup, in my opinion. Also, for desert their sticky rice and fried bananas w/ ice cream are quite delicious. The ingredients are always high quality and fresh, yet somehow they manage to keep the food very inexpensive for such great quality. \r \r The service is quick and responsive. They are closed Mondays and deliver Tuesday through Thursday (I think) to nearby locations. I highly recommend eating here.\r Pros: Food, Service, Low Prices more
