Chef's Way or the Highway, I guess... 9/6/2006

I moved to Phoenix about 3 months ago from Seattle, and missed all that great Thai food; the Seattle area has just a huge number of delicious Thai restaurants everywhere. I didn't find that to be the case here in Phoenix. I tried a Thai/fusion place in Scottsdale that was nice to look at, but the food was dreadful. Then I came upon this place... Pros: Decent Thai food Cons: You can't have it your way when the cook is having a bad day I guess... more

Great Thai food, so-so service 6/13/2006

Ordered the chicken and green beans and the PAd Thai, both dishes were served hot, tasty and in great proportions. Their Pad Thai is on the sweeter chili and peanut side, use excellent cuts of chicken (breast) and fresh veggies (extra-crunchy bean sprout). I ordered the chicken/beans mild spicy, and didn't think it was spicy at all - if I return I'll have to take the challenge for hot spicy. Prices were good, but running $2-3 higher per dish, compared to my home town. Service was a little lagging and is IMHO the reason I didn't give it a higher rating. more

Too Spicy?? 6/25/2005

My husband and I recently ventured over to Thai Lahna. It was absolutely amazing. It was a true Thai experience! Being from Cajunland, we both ordered our meals spicy. They were WONDROUS! It was like having a party in my mouth, but not so hot that we can't taste the food. We ordered an appetizer of eggrolls, #39, and #69. We even stayed and had their delicious coconut ice cream! A great find! :) Pros: Service, Food, Inexpensive more

I have to recommend #63 with shrimp and #71 with chicken! You won't be disappointed I promise! Pros: Wonderful Flavors, Inexpensive, Friendly Staff more

mid-range $ (think olive garden prices), small, usually crowded, but CLEAN, ORGANANIZED and family owned. they have the very best spice combinations in the world. not too heavy on garlic, soy, peppers, etc. all the different flavors come through. never have i found better spiced food than this restaurant. i have been visiting them a couple times a year for over 9 years. Pros: integrated spices, good service, quality food Cons: crowded, small more
