HOUSTON'S BEST THAI 4/28/2011

I come to Houston once a month and usually stay 3 or 4 days per visit. I have to eat at Thai Jasmine every chance I get. Food always delivers fresh if you use there delivery service but dining in is also a good idea. Because they are so friendly. Note: don't forget to print out the discount coupon from their website. more

BEST OF THE BEST THAI FOOD 3/5/2009

I traveled to Houston last week for a brief business seminar and discovered The BEST Thai place around Hobby area, near Alameda Mall. Thai Jasmine was the first one showed up on GPS screen. It took me awhile to find it because there was no street sign(Kingspoint street) but my GPS confirmed the location. I was greeted politely once I arrived at Thai Jasmine. Sat down and ordered a couple dishes ( Honey Roasted Duck and Kung Poa Chicken) and was the best meal I?ve had. I am from Los Angeles and live near Thai town. Thai Jasmine has just put all the Thai restaurants in Los Angeles to ?HALL OF SHAME? Fresh ingredients were used on my dishes and were cooked the same way in Thailand. I frequently travel to Thailand and that made me an expert when it comes to finding the right Thai restaurant. I can also distinguish between good Thai food and the average Thai food. Thai Jasmine is above it all. \r Five star service was so impressive. MUST TRY THAI JASMINE!!\r Pros: BEST FOOD, FIVE STAR SERVICE Cons: NO STREET SIGNs, Hidden location more

Great Food for a Reasonable Price 2/19/2009

When I first saw Thai Jasmine I was somewhat skeptical about the place as the location was a little sketchy. But as the old saying goes, never judge a book by it's cover. This place is amazing. I love the food. It is so fresh and full of flavor. The service is excellent. The Thai Iced Tea is perfectly flavored with just the right amount of sweetness to it. I go there so many times, the waiter (who is usually the same person everytime I go in) knows what i'm going to order. I definitely would go here again and again. I have gone back and brought many friends with me to introduce them to a diamond in the rough. I hope more people will discover this wonderful hidden paradise and treat their palates to a wonderful, flavorful experience. Pros: Good Service, Good Food Cons: Sketchy Area, but don't let this fool you!!! more

GREAT THAI FOOD ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF HOUSTON 2/18/2009

It?s kind of rare to find the best Thai food in this part of town. I was thinking more like Westheimer or North part of Houston but Thai Jasmine just proved me wrong. Their food and service amazed me that I have to write this review for them. \r It?s worth driving just to eat there, the food is great, modest pricing and the best part is Thai Jasmine has the friendliest service in town. They even offer free WIFI. It works perfectly for me this way I do not have to spend $5 for a cup of coffee at the Starbucks to use the Internet when I am on a road. Now I can get a decent meal and surf on the NET for free. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!\r Pros: GREAT FOOD AND FREE WIFI , $5.99 LUNCH SPECIALS more

The new hidden secret for great Thai Food! 12/22/2008

This place is hardly ever crowded for dinner. I've eaten Thai food all over the US, in Europe, Japan and Thailand. This restaurant is very authentic and the food is as good as just about anywhere I've eaten. This is definitely the best Thai food in Houston!!! The Kra Pao is delicious and better than I had in Thaiand! This restaurant has been through several owners in the past few years, but I think the new owners are on to something. They are extremely friendly and cater to your every need and their menu is outstanding. If the secret gets out about this place, It'll be standing room only!!! Oh yeah, it's located directly behind Almeda Mall. It's a little hard to find but worth the effort. more

FRIENDLY SERVICE, PLEASANT AMBIENCE, GREAT MENU SELECTIONS!! 10/26/2008

Finally there is a real Thai food in town. I stopped by at Thai Jasmine for lunch last week and it was the best Thai food I?ve ever had. I came by there again for dinner but little surprised; it was not as crowded as their lunch hours. They have great menu selections. Pineapple fried rice, Fried chicken delight, Honey roasted duck and Seafood combo platter are the MUST have dishes. Not only the food there I enjoyed but the service was also pleasant and enjoyable. If you?re looking forward to a great Thai place and service, I surely recommend this one. \r Be sure to get your GPS or a map ready because you might have little difficulty finding it. Pros: FRIENDLY SERVICE, QUIET AMBIENCE, REASONABLE PRICES Cons: LITTLE DIFFICULT TO FIND more

FINE DINING, EXCELLENT SERVICE, GREAT THAI FOOD 8/29/2008

This Place reminded me about the best Thai food in Bangkok I had last year when I took a business trip there. I was there nearly two weeks and I tried almost everything from the classy expensive meals to street food venders. I have to say Thai Jasmine is the only Thai restaurant in US that lives up to the BEST THAI FOOD. It was kind of difficult at first trying to find this place but it was worth it. I am pretty sure that you would enjoy the authentic Thai food as well as the excellent service. \r Delicious dessert is served as a compliment after the meal. If that is not enough for you can order the most popular sticky rice and mango or fried bananas with ice cream. \r I would love to go on about this place but I have to go eat there now. Well, I keep you posted of my next journey.\r \r Thanks for reading my review,\r \r Pros: REASONABLE, GREAT SERVICE Cons: Little hard to find but worth it. more

AUTHENTIC THAI, LOVE IT! 7/5/2008

My favorite food is Thai, NOW I have found the best place to eat Thai food. It?s called Thai Jasmine Restaurant, not really visible from the main road but it?s quite easy to find. It?s located right behind Alameda shopping mall on Kingspoint road. \r They serve GREAT Thai food and got me addicted. I have been to this place 5 times in the past two weeks (its addiction). Their price is very reasonable and my favorite dishes are seafood combo fried rice, Tom Yuum, Yellow curry and red curry is a must! The average price per dish is $8 at dinner and $6 at lunch. \r Now, you know why I have to share this with Thai food lovers, not only great food they serve but also excellent service. Great Thai 5/5/2008

I eat almost weekly for lunch and it is a great place. The mango and sticky rice is excellent as well as the noodle dishes. They even have a coconut jello if you ask for it. Yummy! I prefer the tom yum soup with white rice and the beef fried rice. They use jumbo shrimp in most dishes. Great prices - 7-8 dollars per dish. more
