If you don’t' know where to look you'll miss it...on 4th Street, about half a block from the mall, is a small sign that hangs above the street for the Thai House. I must have walked past it hundreds of times without knowing it was there...but once you know, if you are craving some spicy, ricey, peanut-coated goodness, Thai House is definitely the place to go.
The reason that the restaurant is hard to locate is that, unlike most 4th Street restaurants, it is a story above the ground, up a flight of narrow stairs, nestled next to an art gallery. When you eat there you feel like you have stepped away from the bustle of the street below...it feels like a secret restaurant, hidden away from the rest of the town.
The lighting is soft and low and the food the delicious signature Thai blend of spicy, sweet, and gooey, with a liberal sprinkling of peanuts and fresh cucumber.
There are dishes for a wide variety of dietary needs or likes...spicy, mild, rich, low calorie, vegetarian, meaty...
They are open until 2 on weekend nights (perfect for a late bite after a movie), and have tables and chairs, as well as a room with cushions and low tables for sitting on the floor.
Now that you know, it can be your secret restaurant too!
