We ordered three dishes and each was a
sensational success. There was Tom Yum soup, salad
piled on silver noodles, and beef with snowpea and
straw mushrooms. Of the three, the soup most easily
found its way to our heart through our gruff and
implacable stomachs. It was a tickly blend of spicey
and tart lemon grass flavors, swimming with mushrooms,
bits of chicken, and enough odd but fragrant flotsam
of vegetable material to make a birdnest out of.
The other two dishes were
each in their own way a joy too. Especially the
silver noodles: they're light and slippery and slightly glass-colored, and
surely deserve the name angel hair more than any
coarse, starchy pasta. Over all, the place was a delight and I could
recommend it with a clear gastronomic conscience to
anyone, especially considering how affordable most of
the dishes were, almost all the entrees around $9-$11
Pros: exotic dishes, plenty of room, friendly service
