The staff of Children's Collections on Bellaire Blvd. had picked up food from this restaurant, and told me where to find it. Next day my sister and i met for lunch and loved the food, and very attentive waiter. I love Thia food and this place get my business. Excellenence with every dish we tryed. I have found more new places to eat now that I am shopping in Bellaire. I live on Voss and work in Voss area and have nothing like this near me. Well worth the drive. I have dined at many Thai restaurants and I am sad to say that Thai Cottage was the worst experience I have ever had. I assured my boyfriend and friend had this been my 1st experience (as it was theirs) that I would never have tried it again. Always check the ceiling before you dine? this place is full of mold and water stains. Not a very pleasant $25.00 dining experience? Thai Cottage is one of the best Thai restaurants in Houston. It is cozy and inviting if somewhat dark at times. The food is flavorful and spiced according to your request from mild to inedibly fiery. Their green curryn is so good, my wife and I have trouble trying anything else., but when we have it has been great also. You may choose brown or white rice and refills are usually free. Prices are around 7-8 dollars per entree --very reasonable in my experience. It is also adjacent to the Edwards theatre so convenient for movie nights. A very good chice for Thai food! The food here is good, especially for lunch. The dinner prices tend to be a bit steep for the product. The service here is lacking at best. Constant empty glasses are the norm for Thai Cottage. If you can stand that aspect it is worth a visit. more

After trying many Thai resteraunts in the Houston area, this is by far the best I have found. Service is wonderful and the prices are very good. The best thing about this resteraunt is the fact that ever single item is absolutely fabulous. The chili mint chicken and the Red Curry chicken is great and very very tasty! Their desserts need a little work. Dining atmosphere is excellent and romantic and you can sit by a window next to a beautiful garden area. We are addicted to Thai Cottage at my office. Co-worker is Thai and we decided to give it a try several years ago and are HOOKED. They try very hard to please and they succeed. Pad thai - best I've ever had. Red curry, excellent. Chicken with cashew nuts - delicious. Had thai at many places and none as good as this. I love this place that sometimes I go out of my way to visit them for lunch! I discovered this small ""hole in the wall"" about five years ago. The staff is friendly and service oriented. They most always remember how I like my food, i.e. spicy, white rice, noodles, etc. They have reasonable lunch specials and every dish is individually made. They have the best pad thai dish (Lunch L13 item) in the city and it's the closest thing to actually flying to Thailand. I also love the green curry dish and the princess chicken. The ambience and decor is simple. I'd rather to go a restaurant with excellent food/service/lunch specials and reasonable prices than a restaurant with expensive paintings/decor and not so great service/food. Overall I would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves thai food. more

Thai Cottage has two locations, one in Bellaire and one in Sugarland. The Bellaire location is my favorite because of its layout, but the food is excellent at both locations. more
