My New Favorite Thai Restaurant! 5/17/2010

This is the best Thai restaurant I have been to in the Metroplex. If you are ever in Allen to go to the outlets, you should try this place. The food is excellent and as beautiful as the pictures in Thai cookbooks. Try the home-made ice cream in Thai flavors. Your next drive to Allen will be just for this! Pros: Fantastic Food, Beautiful Presentation. more

Authentic as Promised 3/23/2010

I'm in love with Thai Cafe. They serve very authentic & very tasty Thai food. The restaurant is also very nicely decorated with modern yet homey atmosphere. It is definitely one of the best Thai restaurants in DFW area. Every time I stop by the restaurant, I always have Herb Chicken & Cream Cheese wonton for starters. Their Pineapple Fried Rice, Green Curry, Pad Se-ew, Basil Chicken, Pad Thai & their special basil fish are also very yummy. I really can't wait to go back to try some other dishes on their menu! more

Thai Cafe Rocks! 3/17/2010

We went shopping at the Allen outlet mall and we found this Thai resturant not far from it, hidden in a quiet residential area. The place was very cute, cozy & peaceful. As for the food, I absolutely LOVED everything we ordered! . Cashew Chicken & Pad Thai were my most favorites. The service was also awesome. The owner was a very nice guy - very attentive & personal. I can tell you that Thai Cafe is the best Thai resturant in town. And if you are obsessed with Thai food like I am, you must try Thai Cafe!. more

If you want Thai Food the Thai Cafe can not be Beat! 1/28/2010

I have had some Thai food from various places, but I have to say the Thai Cafe was fantastic. The food was well prepared, looked fantastic, and best of all tasted awesome. I had the Pad Thai with beef, but I am already looking at heading back and trying the ground chicken basil. The food looks amazing, and tastes even better. Defintely a stop for anyone in the upper metroplex to visit. Plus I hear they do take outs too! Pros: VERY Good Thai Food! more

Good Thai food with excellent service! 1/7/2010

I loved the pineapple fried rice with chicken. Tom Kha chicken was good. The traditional Thai steak dish with side saude was good. The service was excellent. Casual and friendly dining...a must try if you are up that way. Pros: Very good authentic Thai food up north more

Best Thai Food in Town!!! 1/4/2010

Where to start? The restaurant has a nice, cozy atmosphere. The staff and owner are friendly and attentive. Great food at a great price. For an appetizer I would recommend CREAM CHEESE WONTON, very delicious. Thai Café has the best PAD THAI SHRIMP I’ve ever eaten. I wouldn’t trade anything for their FRIED ICE CREAM it is so GOOD!!! \r Definitely worth a stop! \r Highly recommended. \r Pros: Authentic Thai Food more

Neat place for thai food~! Love it! 1/3/2010

I visit with my wife in two weeks ago. There's no problem to find the place with GPS. It was easy to park and very quite place. \r We ordered the spicy shrimp and curry soup. It was great! The shrimp was big & fresh, and had a full of thai taste. The coconut based curry soup is one of best I ever had. And the owner was really gentle and kind enough to explain all of the food menu and help to order. \r I am strongly recommend this place! Never disappoint! Pros: Best thai food, clean, friendly, enjoyable Cons: Nothing, more

The reviews do not lie 12/23/2009

The reviews do not lie. This place is awesome! Great food, great service, it's wasn't busy, and the prices are reasonable. The herb chicken appetizer is excellent. The chicken thai cafe...i think it's called that...was also very good. I dipped my remaining herb chicken app in the sweet and sour sauce the entre was served with. It was greatness. Check this place out! Pros: Everything Cons: The music more

Great Service and Delicious Food! 11/29/2009

I visited the restaurant with a bunch of friends and we all agree the food were great! Thai Cafe provides very authentic Thai style curry entrees. Even though the dishes were slightly sweeter...(which Thai food are not), the curry flavor was very strong and you could taste the coconut milk as well. Besides, the owner and the wait staff presented with very pleasant and friendly manners which made the dining experience even better! more

Authentic Thai Food 11/17/2009

A cozy restaurant with real good Thai food. I went with my wife and two kids and they all love the food. The service was very nice, too. We tried the green papaya salad and it was very very tasty. Do not forget the fried ice cream! Pros: The real spices that make your mouth watering more

Best Thai cusine I have tasted! 11/16/2009

My wife and I ventured from our neighborhood in Valley Ranch to the great white north of Allen to try some authentic Thai cuisine Saturday night. Let me tell you boys and girls; it was worth the journey.\r \r We started by ordering spring rolls. There were two rolls that came with a sweet and sour sauce. The sauce was fantastic. Where you would typically see a gelatinous red sauce at other resturants, it seems that Thai Cafe's sauces are made from scratch. The rolls were very crispy and not oily at all. The vegetables were very fresh and crunchy. With our rolls came a ""chip"" that, when asked, we were told that it was the equivalent of getting tortilla chips at Mexican food resturants. The chips were light and crunchy with just a hint of spice. We were told that they were made of shrimp.\r \r I wanted to have a small salad, so I ordered a side salad with peanut sauce. This dish was a pleasent supprise and helped prepare my pallette for the spicy food which I would soon ingest. The peanut sauce was placed on top of the salad which I prefered in lieu of mixing it into the salad during preperation. The diner would be allowed to mix the sauce as they pleased. It had just a hint of spice that seemed odd for a salad, but was actually very good.\r \r My wife ordered the Pad Thai with chicken while I ordered, what I was told was a Thai signature dish, the Thai Cafe Ground Chicken with Basil. I will start by saying that there is an ample amount of food. The proprietor of the resturant was concerened because there was still so much food on her plate. I assured him that it was because she weighs only 105 pounds and not because she did not enjoy it (we were able to share the leftovers for lunch Sunday). The pad thai was very good. The noodles were fresh and the chicken was well prepared. You can really tell that the sauce was prepared fresh. The peanuts tasted like they were ground that morning, because you can still taste the natural oils from the nut. It was not dry at all. The chicken with basil dish was phenomenal. I ordered the dish with medium spice (at the recommendation of my waiter) which was perfect. The herbs and spices in the dish were very clean and fresh. They tasted like they were picked out of a garden just before they were cooked. The aroma from the dish when it was presented to me caused me to eat the whole plate. The vegetables in the dish were fresh and crunchy. Each dish was served with a white rice. It helped cool down the spice and soak up the sauce.\r \r We ended the meal with an order of fried ice cream. The ice cream was breaded in a sweet breading and fried quickly and drizzeled with a chocolate sauce and a side of whipped cream. AWESOME!\r \r The price was very reasonable. We spent $35.00 for the two of us to eat. I know they deliver, but I don' think that I can get them to make the trip to Valley Ranch. We will be going back for sure to try other items on the menu. We have found an authentic Thai resturant that we will frequent. Pros: Excellent food and friendly service. Cons: Distance from my house. more

Cream cheese wontons!! 11/16/2009

Best Cream Cheese Wontons - Ever 11/16/2009

This place is special. The staff cares about everyone who comes in and will remember you when you come again. The food is top notch and very authentic. My fiancee is timid about any asian food, but she loved everything she had. I had the cream cheese wontons, herb chicken, pad thai, and fried ice cream. I can't wait to go back and try another dish. Everything was wonderful, I can't recommend it enough. Pros: Great food Cons: Too far away for me more

Cozy Restaurant with delicious food 11/15/2009

I have visited the restaurant last week, the food was so great that I came back again with friends. We all enjoyed the food, restaurant setting and service. Will definitely come back for more visits! Pros: Best food in town Cons: too far away from Dallas (where I live) more

YUMMY! 11/12/2009

Very impressed with service and food. Loved Chicken Curry dish and Fried Rice. I would say Thai Café’s chicken curry was the best one I have ever tried so far. I am not a big fan of friend rice. But OMG! The beef fried rice was fantastic! Spicy too! Can’t wait to go back there again!!!\r Pros: Super clean and fresh food! more

Great restaurant, location and service for the price. Authentic food and will spice it to order. The owner is very personable and visits every table. We will definitly be going back! Pros: Authentic Place, great atmosphere, great service and price more

Great food, cozy place 11/8/2009

Thai Cafe serves delicious food in a cozy little location. There are only about 8 tables in the restaurant as they do most of their business via delivery, so it feels very homey. We have eaten here twice and were impressed both times. The food is so good and perfectly spiced. Their meat and veggies are fresh, and service is excellent! As soon as we walked in on our second visit, the server recognized us right away and was very sweet. The owner came out and made sure our food was good and showed genuine interest in our opinion. I just love this place! The food is WONDERFUL, but having great friendly service makes it even better :) Pros: Delicious food, friendly service more
