The food is great! I have eaten here multiple times and have never been disappointed! I can't wait for the outdoor seating to open up, then it will be perfect!

Great food! 6/26/2011

Just went here for the first time and was very pleased with my choice! I ordered take out, and it was ready when I arrived. I ordered the chicken pad thai, and salad rolls. The pad thai was delish, but the salad rolls only so-so. I crave salad rolls which is what led me here (close to my work on my lunch break) and sad to say, they were not very good. Nor was the peanut sauce that came with it. With that said though, I will definitely be returning to try the curry! Yum! more

Beautiful, Romantic Thai Restaurant 11/17/2010

My first experience at Thai Bistro was when we got some coupons in the mail near Valentine's Day. My husband took me there for Valentine's Day. It was very romantic--candles on the tables, pink and red tulips in vases, lots of Valentine's decor, and a view of the Tualatin Commons. The atmosphere is very peaceful. The food is excellent, their homemade hot tea is the best I've tasted anywhere. We've gone back several times since that Valentine's Day; they change the decor with the seasons, but the quiet, romantic atmosphere remains. more

Lunch time disappointment 7/30/2010

Although the atmosphere and outside seating on the water was nice, the experience wasn't good for me. The Tom Ka soup had a strong taste of fish sauce and was otherwise bland. It also lacked any coconut flavor or spice. The cashew chicken plate a friend had was burnt and had visible bits of carbon in it. The peanut chicken spinach plate was edible but the peanut sauce was thin and lacked flavor. The noodles were awful. The salad was served on glass dishes that were badly chipped all along the edge. The table was poor quality and sun damaged. I loved the menu with 3D relief. This place has appeal, I just wish the food was better. Pros: Outside seating, cool menu covers Cons: The food wasn't good more

Satisfied my craving 7/8/2010

I was craving pad thai for a few weeks and finally gave Thai Bistro a call. I read a few reviews online about the place and was happy to discover that the reviews were correct. Thai Bistro is located in a good spot right on Tualatin Commons and has some great outdoor seating. The pad thai was sweet and full of peanut flavor just the way I like it! I'd recommend it. Pros: Pad Thai more

my favorite restaurant!! 11/4/2008

Wow!! My husband and I have been several times, but just moved here, we will definitely continue going there. The food is absolutely delicious!!! The service is great and the atmosphere is nice, a bit fancy, but the dishes are wonderful and there are nice candles with dim lighting. We are 100% satisfied every time we go. It is our favorite restaurant. If you love thai food, you will love this place, I haven't been to a better restaurant. The staff are so friendly and do a great job. I can't praise this restaurant enough. I have a degree in Hospitaltiy Mgmt so i'm pretty picky and notice things that could be wrong... this place gets an A+ all the way. My husband gets something different every time and he has loved everything, I love the Combination Rice and Thai tea, also the peanut sauce is amazing!!!! Pros: food is delicious, service is great, not expensive at all... Cons: not as family friendly as some may desire, but a great date spot more

Best Thai I've Ever Had! 6/18/2008

I've been going to this restaurant for about four years :) I work nearby, so when I first learned about this adorable place, I went there religiously on a daily basis for lunch and just went down the list trying everything lol EVERYTHING I had there was absolutely delicious! Since I've came here there was only one change in ownership and things went from good to great :) I didn't think it was possible, but the food was better and the style/decor was just beautful! (not sure bout the ivory cloth/silk covered chair-too much of a wedding style for me) but overall the mirrors, candles, fountains and season/holiday decorations just make it so homey and comfy :) Everyone I've brought here for lunch has only praised and and started going on their own. The service is absolutely great, but the food is to die for! Try it out, you won't regret it :) No matter where else I've gone, in or out of state, this by far is the best Thai restaurant I've ever went to. more

FANTASTIC FOOD IN A BEAUTIFUL ROMANTIC ATMOSTPHERE 12/29/2007

We happened to try this place since it was next to the restaurant that my mother manages and we happen to love Thai food. The restaurant was BEAUTIFUL inside. Very soft and pretty with candles and silk covered chairs with beautiful dishes and crystal glasses. Not a place I would probably take my kids. The staff was friendly and helpful but was not 'hovering' so that we were able to visit with each other. The tables are close together and I would think it might be a bit noisy if the intimate atmosphere was crowded. We happened to be the only ones there. It is also on the lake in Tualatin which adds to the ambiance. The food was WONDERFUL!! The angel wings were great and the cucumber sauce it came with even better. I could have just eaten a bowl of that. I didn't care for the Bangkok noodles but that was strictly a taste preference as my husband loved them. The pumpkin curry was to die for...don't let the idea of pumpkin throw you off....it was some of the best curry I have ever had. The dishes were served family style and beautifully presented. I would HIGHLY reccomend this place for a romantic dinner with casual dress and very affordable prices. Our full meal with appetizer, two dishes, two beers and a soda was only $36. They also give you dessert for free at the end. Pros: Beautiful atmosphere, attentive staff, great food Cons: Woudln't consider it 'kid friendly' but that isn't always a bad thing. more

Consistent Excellence 12/17/2007

I am a Thai food junkie and have dined at many of the Thai restaurants around the Portland Metro area. This one in Tualatin is the best I've had, or at a minimum, is tied with the best. I believe the new owner took over within the last couple years. Pros: Excellent food, great atmosphere, friendly staff Cons: Parking gets a little crowded, especially on weekends more

Outstanding Thai food 8/15/2007

My wife and I have been going to Thia Bistro for over a year now. It is our favorite restaurant, Thai food or otherwise. The atmosphere is great, candle lit in the evening, lots of tastefully done decorations, and windows facing Tualatin's man made pond. Pros: Taste, Atmosphere, Service, Good price Cons: Can't think of any more

dont pass with out stopping 2/13/2007

This is hands down the best thai food I have ever put my taste buds on, the flavors pop, the spice sizzles every part of your being, the chef is a master at his trade...dont miss out on THAI BISTRO...my favorite is the tom kha seafood, witch is full of the oceans delights...and if you are into feeling heavenly then try the angel wings, its hard to explain but they make u feel like u are floating on a cloud...i would stay and say more but i am on the way out the door to go partake in the phenomenon called THAI BISTRO. Pros: everything Cons: nothing more

Excellent Thai food, nice atmosphere, wonderful owner,... highly recommended 10/26/2006

This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants. Having been to Thailand more than once, I feel qualified to rate Thai food. The owner has generated some yummy dishes, and the atmosphere is nice (sometimes a bit noisy, and still very nice). The only downside would be that the service is a little slow sometimes (for lunch at least). However, I would highly recommend you try this restaurant out. :) Pros: Good selection of food, good atmosphere, nice people. Cons: Service is sometimes a little slow. more
