DO NOT GO THERE!!! After giving birth at LRMC, a revived a goodie bag with lots of coupons from local Lakeway businesses including Beach Candy, The League and TGF Haircutters. Theirs was for a free cut and style, but they would not honor it when I called. I was told if I found the coupon to bring it in so I did and the girl with short hair and tattoos was so very nasty to me saying I should have looked closer because that wasn't even their address. She was right, but chastising a new mommy who was trying to simply get a haircut and get my 5 yr old one (which I obviously would pay for & buy product as usual) was not the way to go. She could have honored the coupon, made more money and repeat business. DO NOT GO HERE!!! more

I usually pay $50 plus for a haircut but I really just wanted a simple trim. I was in the shopping center running errands and thought I would come by and get my split ends taken care of. Stephanie cut my very long hair, she did not mention she has been out of school 4 months and has no idea what she was doing. I was not upset she took 3 inches off or that one side was a inch longer and uneven I was upset that every piece of hair she cut was straight across and you could tell. I went back the next day and the Manager said he would fix it he did what he could but unless I wanted short hair that was all he could do. When he tried to show the women who cut my hair how not to make that mistake, she could not have been bothered and went on to take her next client. When I mentioned her attitude I was told she was embarrassed and when ""I go to a discount salon you get what you pay for on a hair cut"" I then said I did not want a haircut just a trim, 5 inches measured later my trim became a cut more

John Young was my families hair stylist. He is patient with the little ones and always did a Great job. He reciently moved to Finley's Barbarshop and Salon U. It is a little more expensive, but well worth the price. It's nice to be able to make an appointment and have him be able to spend more quality time with me and my family. As allways my hair looks GREAT!! Pros: Good for him. Cons: Bad for them. more

I have been going to TGF and John Young specifically for four years. John gives a salon haircut at a fraction of the cost. Also, he is great with little kids as he has patience. Highly recommend his services and at 15 dollars ( men's cut) it is a bargain vs. 45 dollars at a high end salon. Pros: quality mens haircut at a great price Cons: no frills but then again who cares more

I used to take my kids here for haircuts. They were cheap, nearby, and did a so-so job. Christine, the manager, is very nice and the best at cutting hair. Pros: Low prices Cons: Mediocre cuts, cheating on tips on credit cards more

GREAT prices and John is the best hair stylist in Austin...hands down...don't ask for anyone but John...all the upscale women in Lakeway swear by him and so do I!!! Pros: my hair always looks AWESOME Cons: it's in a cheap looking hair salon chain more
