I've had no choice but to go to Texas Tech for my medical needs. My husband and I used to quailify for a particular health program but no longer do. And this is where I used to have to go. Most of the docters here I would not recommend to anyone, even in a desperate situation. I have ran into a few extremely gifted doctors that have left. These are all interns, putting in their 1 to 4 years here just to go on elsewhere. As a whole, they have misdignosed myself, my husband and my daughter on many things. Most of the doctors won't spend the time to answer any medical questions that you may have. They have overbooked appointments on me several times, and just didn't type an appointment into the computer once, so when I came on my appointment day, they were not expecting me at all. You very rarely get the same docter more than once, (unless you get very fortunate).
The staff is for the most part friendly, sometimes grouchy from the get go, but we all have bad days. I will tell you that the people in the records department are wonderful, extremely helpful and nice.
The family clinic here had ( a couple of years ago) sent me upstairs to see a specialist about my abdomen pain and problems. They done a nuculear test, you could see the dye leaking from my small intestine and a couple of areas that were blocked. So I went home after the test, and towards the end of the week I called and they said that (very rudely I may add) there was nothing abnormal with my test, so I told them that I saw a leak in my small intestine durring the test and they said that was not so. (I know what I saw), I already have acid reflux and a huge gullstone in my gullbladder that they won't do anything about as they claim it don't hurt me, HA!! it actually does hurt badly from time to time. So I won't go back there again. I've only ran into 1 docter that I really liked, and now he is in either Dallas or Ft.Worth, can't remember. I wish that he would come back.
