My friends and I used to frequent the Texas Roadhouse in Bloomington and always enjoyed the food. So we were happy when they built one in our hometown. Except...based on the traffic in that place you'd think it was the only restaurant in town, even though it's been open a few years now! The wait time to get a table is positively insane! And...counterintuitively...if you have a big party they refuse to do reservations or call ahead seating. To me this does not make sense, as if I had to prepare a large table, I would want warning that they were coming. To wit: we had my sister's bachelorette party dinner there. We were a party of ten, and we had to wait almost two hours to be seated. Apparently there was only one table that they had set up to accommodate ten, and the party using it refused to leave even though they had finished eating. So rather than set up another table, the restaurant made us wait. It's not worth it, even though the food is good.
