I love going to Texas Roadhouse with my family! Apparently, a lot of other people love this place too because it is always crowded! We've suffered the wait once when we went with friends who really wanted to eat here but usually we eat at off times (lunchtime or even a late lunch (say 2-3PM) is a good time to eat). Or, I just recently discovered that you can call ahead and put your name in before you leave home. When I did this, I found that my wait was only 10 minutes when I arrived which is not too terrible. Besides, while you wait, you can munch on peanuts.
Once inside the restaurant, which has a rustic look to it, you are captivated by the menu. There are a lot of choices. If you like to order appetizers, my favorites are the cactus blossom or the Buffalo wings.
If you like steak or BBQ ribs or chicken you are definitely in luck. There are also other chicken dishes and seafood dishes if you choose. I like the BBQ ribs and chicken combo which comes with fresh baked bread and your choice of 2 vegetables. I always choose a tossed salad as one of my veggies and it is very fresh and plentiful.
The problem is that there is WAY too much food! But, on the up side, I take leftovers home and have lunch the next day!!!
My daughter loves the macaroni and cheese here. She is a macaroni and cheese expert as that's one of the few dishes she'll eat in a restaurant. She also loves the fresh bread and would eat the whole loaf if I let her.
Desserts? I can honestly say that I really don't know anything about the desserts since I am always way too full to get dessert here. I'm sure that they are good though!
Great restaurant....definitely recommended!
