I have been doing business with Texas Plumbing and Jerry Brown for several years and was really surprised at the response to their total lack of competence on this call. I work from home so I was able to "shadow" the repairman for the most part. This was a simple call and, by coincidence, I had the same exact thing done two years earlier.....unclog the AC drain line and replace two faucet cartridges......it was completed in less than 1 hour. Had no issue with the work or the payment....fair all the way around. This time it was quite a bit different to say the least. Instead of using an o2 cartridge to blow the line out (which worked perfectly fine in the past), he was trying to use and air compressor that maxed out at 70psi and to no ones surprise it wasn't working, To top it off, he broke the threaded pvc piping that went into the AC which left the threads in the connection.....we'll get back to that. After watching the repairman fumble around with the STILL clogged line and bro more

Was charged $825.00 to replace a water heater. It did take two trips and about an hour to do. But still.....my lawyer doesn't get paid that much! more

I called to make an appointment and the service person was on time. Upon arrival I described the issue and he wrote up a quote for over $400. I signed the estimate thinking it would take him several hours to fix the issue. After 30 minutes he left, went to Home Depot to buy $30 worth of PVC and then spent 45 minutes making the repair. In other words MAKE SURE YOU ASK WHAT THE BILLING RATE IS FOR YOUR JOB. I got taken to the cleaners and will not recommend these guys to anyone. more

never showed up ... i called them on they told me they would be out from 3;30 to 4;00 pm .... then never showed up ..three hours after the time frame they were to be here they called ..told me it would be tomorrow morning around 8 30 /// well here it is ..1;18 pm an still no show ... i recieved a call from another plumbing company that i had been passed off to them ... all the time my doughter an i are out of gas ..cant take a shower and cant cook ..this is no way to conduct business ... would not call them ..not dependable ... more

Over-Priced. 247 dollars to replace a connection hose to the hot water heater. Don't get me wrong, the tech gave me a price upfront, and stated it would take 30 mins to an hour to do the work. He was done in 10 minutes and still charged me 247.00. I just see how you expect to get repeat business with outrageous prices like that. Will never use them again. more

One call and they were at my house within an hour. Paul quickly found the problem (leaking main water line) and provided a fair price to fix it. This is a pretty big job (replace the water main). Within hours the yard was dug, a new main line installed, and the ditch filled back in. They did a great job with no problems - and they did it fast! I would recommend them to friends and family. more

Paul helped us out hugely! We had a waste water leak under the house and got several bids. Texas Plumbing was, by far, the most reasonable. They even told my husband what he could do himself to help save some of the total bill. We'll definitely use them again for any plumbing needs! more

Good company with great people. They can fix or repair just about anything that has to do with plumbing. Fast, reliable and honest to boot. Hard to find these days. Give Jerry a call he will cure your problem. Get licensed plumbers to do your job...it is worth it in the long run just for the peace of mind to know that it was done right the first time. They offer a Senior Citizen discount that was an added bonus. Ask any professional and they'll tell you a water heater starts to lose its luster after about 10 years. If it's been well tended and serviced and insulated---it'll last longer.
