Best Restaurant in Bodega Bay 6/3/2011

Best restaurant in Bodega Bay, CA. The food is divine especially the crab cake salad. Excellent selection of wines. Fast, friendly service with a warm, personal touch. We tell all of our family, friends, and anyone who asks about best places to dine in Bodega Bay what a tastefully delicious dining experience Terrapin Creek has been for us each and every time we have had an opportunity to visit. more

over-priced super bohemian/hippy spot 1/19/2008

We ate here- mainly due to it's location. The menu was not impressive for non-vegan type people. I just wanted to sit down and eat something tha was not ""politically correct"". No such thing in this place. From the dirty looks (because we pulled up in an suv) to the slow service and tasteless food- this place was not worth it- and I wish we had just kept driving.... more

Over-Priced, Bad Service, Stay Away! 9/4/2007

I did not have a good dining experience at the Seaweed Cafe. My girlfriend recommended this place for Sunday Brunch. We arrived about 12:45 and still had nothing but water at our table at 1:00. Our server ignored us throughout the meal. The room wasn't very busy, and we literally had to beg for our coffee and orange juice. I worked as a waiter in fine dining for years and I'm usually very tolerant and patient when it comes to service, but this was just plain bad and clueless. Our order was very uncomplicated, I can't imagine how long a mimosa would have taken to arrive. Pros: Good, Fresh, Flavorful Ingredients Cons: Bad Service, Over-Priced Menu more

Local, average and overpriced 9/20/2006

Local highbrow experience. Our order was not placed correctly, the salmon dish was under cooked and raw and the service was below average for the price. I have eaten at many expensive restaurant all over the world and this was not worth the price. It it an average restaurant with creative presentation, but the food is only average to poor. The crowd is typical north coast travelers (SF/Marin) who would rather spend the money. more

Best Baked Butter Beans on the Sonoma Coast 9/19/2006

The Seawed Cafe rocks. I stop often to the little unassuming restaurant on my way to Sea Ranch and I am always charmed by the warm hospitality provided by the owners and their staff. Their food is really creative and I recommend it to any one searching for a treat off the beaten track. It is certainly not made for the meek or the uptight . more

Save your money and drive further up the coast to Gualala and eat at St. Orres 8/19/2006

1hr20min wait for apps. which were bland and flavorless. Ex. White corn flan had no discernible flavor and sat in a tasteless broth. Waiter brought our wine selection to the table presented it then walked away, 20 minutes later came back to open the bottle. Another 45 minute wait for entrées. Entrée Ex. Skate special-bland strangely cut piece of fish on english muffin-type bread topped with a tomato slice, very strange dish. Dinner for 4 with 1 btl on wine was $270 so not a great value to have to sit for hours waiting for objectionable food. The best thing going for Seaweed Cafe is that there is not much competition in Bodega Bay. more

Left my heart in Bodega Bay Baby 6/20/2006

Ive never been so amazed by such a naturally organic resturant. The owners Jackie and Melinda are one in a million. They have an upscale gorgous cafe in the heart of Bodega Bay! This is a home away from and i HIGHLY recommend you stop by and try some of the differant styles of foods. There's something for everyone on the menu! more

Best in Bodega 1/11/2005

If you're looking for top-quality food that rivals anything you'll find in wine country or San Francisco, yet is served by friendly and unpretentious people, Seaweed Cafe is the place you must visit in Bodega Bay. They will be closing for a month in Jan-Feb 2005 to expand the restaurant to around 15 tables. Pros: Inventive food, Local ingredients, Friendly proprietors more
