BEWARE!!!! Go somewhere ELSE 4/20/2011

BEWARE.... this salon was booked for a wedding I was in. The Bride booked it, took in the timeline schedule, and at no time did the employees ask about her deposit. She received a call 5 weeks before the wedding and was told her day was given away because of no dep. She was never given a contract as well.... This salon is not ran professionally. The owners response when telling her he gave the day away was I didnt assume you were coming here.... If that was the case why did he call in the first place, Secondly, he stated the person he gave her time slots too PAID in FULL and that MONEY was MONEY.... The owner of Terrace Salon has no regard for his patrons. He needs to hire employees that are able to book appts, and also give all information to potentional clients. Furthermore, he needs to learn some manners and respect when dealing with clients. He talked very harshly to the Bride and treated her as if she was beneath him.... The girls at the ISLANDS in Bethalto saved the day, and were able to fit the Bride and all MAIDS in.... I suggest the ISLANDS to anyone looking for a stylist to do your hair and do it well. more

Very Disappointed, Didn't Even Step Through the Door 4/30/2010

I purchased a gift certificate for (3) free services for Terrace Salon & Spa at an auction at the end of March. I later discovered that the gift certificate expired a month later and had restrictions for certain days of the week. When I called to schedule my appointment, they were not able to get me in anytime before the expiration date, nor offered to extend it for the inconvenience. I called back to talk to the owner, John, only to realize that he obviously was not interested accomodating a potential new long term client. In fact, he was offended that I suggest an extension. The situation was handled very poorly on the business' part. I also discovered that the individuals who were donating the services originally no longer worked there, so that is likely another reason for them not honoring the gift certificate. This is no way to run a business and they presented a very poor first impression without me even stepping foot through their door. more
