This is a beautiful and an amazing venue with a flare of elegance. Sunset Gardens will exceed all of your expectations and then some. My husband and I were married on January 15, 2011. We had a destination wedding so we decided it would be best to find a venue that offered wedding packages. We were on The Knot’s website and Sunset Gardens was voted “Best of Weddings of 2010” so we decided to fly into town and check it out for ourselves. When we walked through the doors we knew right away that “this was the place!” The wedding package we chose included much more than we’d expected and the price was just right. We had about 50 guests and the package included the following: a Wedding Coordinator, Minister, Photographer, Bridal Suite with complimentary champagne, a three hour Reception, an experienced DJ, Open Bar, a five item buffet dinner, two tier wedding cake, a choice of colors for the table linens,chairs and lovely glass bowls with floating candles as centerpieces. “No, I’m not kidding!” We weren’t sure what vendors to use for our flowers, favors, invitations etc…and located next door to the venue is Petal Flowers, Michelle’s Bridal, Joleon Salon and Day Spa, and Bowties Bridal Boutique and Tuxedo Rentals. Although we purchased my dress and my husband’s tuxedo in another state, Bowties steamed them both for $60.00 and it was hung in the bridal suite when I arrived. Sunset Gardens also gives you a GREAT discount for using any of these vendors and they were great to work with. Our Wedding ceremony began at dusk in the most beautiful chapel and our Wonderful Reception was held in the Sunset Room. There is a lovely courtyard with twinkling lights on the trees which made a great view for our guests to enjoy and gorgeous pictures with my husband and I. The chapel and reception were already decorated so beautifully that we only added rose petals down the aisles of the chapel, all the tables and the wedding cake table. DJ Syd was a perfect M.C. and everyone enjoyed him. There was a lot of dancing, laughter, mingling and of course, love in the air. The buffet was superb! We had the Chef’s Special Chicken, Fettuccine Alfredo, Red Skinned Potatoes, Mixed Green Leaf Salad, Dinner rolls and the best Prime Rib ever! Our guests raved about the food and the catering services provided by the staff. Kathy from “Tiers of Joy” was a pleasure to work with and our cake was delicious. If you get your Photographs done during the wedding and reception, please choose the upgrade…I guarantee that you won’t be disappointed. Steven Shofner did a splendid job on our photos. We loved them! Tony, the owner and Chris, our coordinator, have mastered the art of creating pure elegance and intimacy for weddings. They have a knack for paying close attention to details and they made us feel so incredibly special on our wedding day and we will cherish that always. Their staff was awesome!. All the planning is done for you so there are no worries. We would definately recommend SUNSET GARDENS to anyone who wants the wedding of their dreams!!! more

Then I HIGHLY suggest you try Sunset Gardens!!! We were getting pretty down that we weren't gonna be able to afford a wedding unless we went to a little drive thru place. But my fiance and I found Sunset and had our wedding here and we were NOT disappointed!! The food was great, the decorations were beautiful, & the fact that everything is included in the packages they have (including a fully OPEN BAR) were just some of the great things about Sunset. The staff onsite the day of the wedding made sure that everything was just right. Everything you need is in the same center too! I got my nails, hair, & make-up done right there at Joleon's, the flowers at Petals, and my dress pressed at Bowtie (they charged me $60 and had it hanging in the bridal suite on the wedding day for me). We used the Courtyard Marriott down the street for guests at a lower rate & free shuttle to the wedding for guests, got spray tanned @ Bronzed (across from the Hard Rock) and went to Eyecandy Lounge @ Mandalay Bay for an after party. The one thing I would say is if there are specific songs that you would like to hear during your ceremony/reception, bring a CD with those songs on it. My fiance is Mexican and the DJ (and yes, he's really bad at calling you back but mainly because I think he has been doing it so long that he thinks he doesn't really need to talk to you until a week or two out) didn't have the genre of music that we preferred to listen to. I had emailed him a song list of ALL the songs we wanted to hear and I think we might have heard like 10 of them and that's it. My burner wouldn't work at the last minute so I couldn't bring a CD with my songs on it but the important songs he had. But I missed hearing a lot of great songs I specifically picked out. If you're the same way, bring a CD so you don't have to worry about not hearing them. But it was an awesome time! All my guests enjoyed themselves and can't stop talking about how great it was! Thanks Sunset!!! Pros: all inclusive pkg, away from strip traffic, good food, open bar, decorations, affordable! Cons: DJ won't call back/have all your songs - bring a CD if u want specific songs played! more

I had my wedding on May 31st and was amazed at the wonderful choice I had made to have it at Sunset Gardens. From the beginning, everything was so easy and effortless. Tony recommended a package to fit what I was looking for and I took it right away. The day of my wedding, I realized that if I had chosen any other wedding site, things would never have been this perfect. The bridal room was gorgeous and gave plenty of space for getting ready with my bridal party. Sharon (our coordinator) stopped in several times to see if the room temp was ok and if anything was needed. She did a terrific job of making all of my loved ones feel comfortable and making sure my bridal party was prepared. It was not long after I was in my wedding dress when disaster number one began, I had somehow gotten a spot of red wine on my dress.... I thought of Sharon and asked my bridesmaid to get her. sure enough, she was wonderful and brought some white wine which amazingly took it right out. the ceremony was perfect, there are no other words to describe... just perfect. perfect music, lighting, decor... once the reception began, disaster number two began... I could not get my DVD to play for the "memory lane" I had worked so long and hard on making perfect.... in the end, my brother in law made a new one and only needed one thing, a blank CD. The reception was soon to end and Sharon had left a few mins before. I found out later from my maid of honor, she called Sharon and she actually turned around, came back and brought what we needed to make it happen. She was a true inspiration. countless wedding attendees have told me that I had the most beautiful and fun wedding they had ever been to. people at work are still talking about how good the food was. It brings joyful tears to my eyes as I remember my perfect day. Please do not be shyed away from false negative comments of this place, they are obviously from their struggling competitors. We got married on June 7, 2008 in the chapel and then had our reception here. Sunset Gardens is phenomenal, simply put. This place is BEAUTIFUL! Sharon was our wedding coordinator and she's the most genuine, helpful person and truly cares about the success of your wedding day. The food is amazing, our cake was beautiful, the flowers were gorgeous, the DJ was fun, loved Reverand Jeff, and the decor was perfect. I have not one single complaint for Sunset Gardens and this is coming from an event planner myself that looks for things to be flawless! We came to Vegas to find a chapel, and was recommended to check out Sunset Gardens from a friend of a friend. We fell in love with it the moment we stopped by. We met with the charasmatic Tony and he explained all of their packages, and helped us find one suitable to our needs. We picked a date....6 weeks away. I was a mess before we even confirmed the date..worrying about how I was going to plan my dream wedding in this short of a time. If I knew then what I know now, I would have never spent any time worrying. EVERYTHING was taken care of. I barely had to lift a finger. Everyone called me.....from the flowers, cake, DJ, pastor, spa (for hair and make up), and food. All I had to do was look at the website or brouchure and pick what I wanted. They took care of the rest. As for my wedding day...it was all I could have hoped for. Chris was wonderful. He took the time to ease all of our nervous jitters and guide us through step by step the most important day of our lives. The ceremony and reception were perfect. I was impressed with how courteous ALL of the staff at Sunset Gardens were. The photographer and DJ (Syd) were wonderful as well. I couldn't have asked for anything more. The staff at Sunset Gardens were like good friends and family. Pros: the wonderful staff Cons: absolutely none more
