My furnace was not installed by Temperature Control but the company that did install it (18 years ago) changed hands several years ago and the new owners were totally unreliable. So I started calling Temperature Control for repairs. They always respond promptly and do the repairs at a fair price. But recently they went above and beyond the call of duty.
About 1:00 AM on December 23rd, I realized it was getting a bit chilly in the house. I discovered that the furnace was just circulating air. The burners weren?t working. I?d just had a new igniter put in last winter so I figured it wasn?t that. I called Temperature Control?s all-night answering service and made an appointment for first thing when they opened later that morning.
The repairman arrived promptly and got it going again, but only on a ?fingers-crossed? basis. Seems the heat exchanger was dying and it sometimes thought that the exhaust or the drain was clogged (even though they weren?t) and was tripping a safety switch. He showed me a button I could use to reset it. Given that the furnace was 18 years old it was more sensible to replace it than to replace only the dying heat exchanger.
I wanted another furnace of the same make and quality. Temperature Control didn?t have one in stock so they immediately sent an employee to get one from a distributor as the distributor wouldn?t be open on Christmas Eve. Meanwhile they sent an installation crew to my house to measure and make sure it would fit.
Christmas Eve morning the furnace and crew arrived at 8:00 AM and they had it installed in two and a half hours. Companies like Temperature Control are PRICELESS!!!
