Temel can be a little hard to find; it's in a shopping strip across from the Home Depot at Fairfax Circle. Regardless, make an effort to find it. The atmosphere is quiet and the decor is attractive. You could bring well-behaved kids here, esp. if they are slightly more adventurous eaters. The service is slow, but not because there aren't enough servers; the idea is to enjoy a leisurely meal. It's an easy place to come with a group of carnivores and vegetarians, as there are several non-meat selections. The kabobs are outstanding, as are the unusual Turkish "pizzas." If you like lamb, go on the weekend & get the eskandar or doner kabob. Also, they have a yogurt soup that is absolutely delicious & I have never seen on any Middle Eastern menu, and I've eaten a lot of Middle Eastern food!
