Ted's (Where's the beef?) 1/17/2011

Visited a few times because it was near work. Never found it outstanding! 1st time was greeted by the server with ""Welcome to Ted's...you're about to experience something special."" Talk about creating unreasonable expectations? The last experience was a BLUE PLATE pork chop lunch special. Dry, undersized, and piled on mashed potatoes...totally bland, uninspired, and overpriced (11.99$.) Looked like a home economics project gone bad. Complained to the server, and she thought I was kidding...giggled, and returned w/ the check. I've heard Ted is a picky guy...he should visit this place. Stick w/ the menu items, and don't get a giggly cheerleader for a server. Nice bathrooms! more

Seated next to the restroom & waiters station! Poor planning 3/21/2007

HAving a night alone without kids was going to be a treat. My husband & I wanted a quick bite at Ted's Montana Grill. After waiting over 45 minutes for a table we were led to a booth in the back of the restaurant next to the restroom & across from the waiters station. When I refused the table, the host seating us told us if we didn't like it too bad, there wouldn't be another table. We walked out....and will never return. If someone has to sit there at least shield it from view. I didn't want to watch people going in and out of the restroom all evening. Not a memorable dining experience. Cons: customers aren't important there more

Not worth the buzz 1/4/2007

I was visiting Atlanta and this was on my list to try after all the rave reviews and I was very very disappointed. I had ordered the bison filet and it was the most bland steaks I have ever had they kept saying that seasonings are not needed well it needed something, Outback tastes better. Other dishes my dining mates were not so good were the bison burger, pecan crusted halibut was bland (she was vegetarian), fries were soggy, roasted chicken were so so, the kids had watered down mac n cheese and surprisingly the kids' salmon was not that bad (better than what the adults ate). The onion rings were ordinary. Try Boi the Brazilian Churrascaria, they have better meats. Oh and what's up with the no bread and butter????? Not worth the try although the place looked cool. Pros: Great location and good parking Cons: Bland, soggy and cold foods more

Best Buger in town, beef or buffalo 11/20/2006

Best Buger in town, beef or buffalo! The borax soap in the bathroom is cool. Old West Ambience is great, really cool bar. Blue plate specials are superb, try the meatloaf. Salt & Pepper onion rings are the best this side of the Varsity. more

Hawaiian review a ""winna"" (winner)... 5/17/2006

Being from Hawaii...I was truly impressed with the Domenico Ribeye beef that I ordered and enjoyed at Ted's. This being my first dining experience at Ted's...and my first trip to Aberdeen Ga., I could not help, but to frequent this restaurant 3 times during a ten day period. It would have been more, but I was busy working also. I will be back there in June 06, and will at least go back there another 3 - 4 times...The service was great, employees cordial and friendly...Looking forward to returning... Pros: reasonable, friendly, clean more

Top Notch 6/15/2005

This place had the juiciest thickest burgers! I tried their buffalo burger and this was the best burger I ever put in my mouth! Pros: Good Atmosphere, Excellent food, Great Service more

The Bomb Burger 5/5/2004

If you are a connoisseur of quality ground beef on a fresh bun-- and generously prepared, then this is the burger for you. It was the best I've had in years! Fresh-cut fries are a great change of pace. I will respond in advance to potential whiners-- fresh-cut are not particularly crispy, as any In-n-Out patron can tell you. Try them with some of Ted's excellent ranch dressing. Skip the bar on the way out though; they served me the most expensive miniature Long Island ever. Enjoy! Pros: Good Value more

Severely disappointed 3/25/2004

After calling the restaurant and asking if they could handle a party of 10 and waiting an hour and a half, half of our party was seated at one table and the other half at another table. The food served was not what we ordered and cold, the dishes were dirty, and one of the party had to wait 20 minutes for her meal after the rest of us were served. The waitress offered a free dessert and she decided we would all get half of a chocolate chip cookie. Pros: Good parking Cons: , loud, overcrowded more

Yum! 11/24/2003

The restaurant seems to be improving over time. The food is good, the fries must be Turner's interpretation, because I've never found them anything but slightly soggy, despite being freshly hand cut . . . Pros: beef & bison, unique theme Cons: fries more

Disappointment at Ted's 7/26/2003

From the moment we sat down it was trouble. It was 9:15 pm and the waitress, appearing with trainee took over ten minutes to welcome our table of four in a half empty restaurant. Drinks took twenty minutes to arrive. Thirty minutes for dinner. Restauarant almost empty. Did they send the chef home? We finished in ten minutes and did not stay for dessert. Salmon came with stone cold grean beans and room temp mashed potatoes. Fries cold. Bread came as we finished last bite. Chocolate shake cloyingly sweet, like the ineffective and poorly trained staff. Manager cowered in the back and hid from guests. What a disppointment. Ted your never going to make your money back. Pros: location, price Cons: slow service, disorganized, mismanaged more

Ted's is the BEST 7/23/2003

Being a huge fan of good burgers and tasty steaks, I prefer Ted's to any steakhouse in Atlanta. The bison burgers are the tastiest burgers I've ever eaten, and the steaks are tender and better-flavored than your local filet. In fact, when given a choice of any restaurant in Atlanta, I prefer to go to Ted's. The fries are great, the onion rings are among the best I've tasted, and the snickerdoodle is an amazing cookie. If you like hamburgers and you live in Atlanta (there are locations popping up north and south of the city), I suggest you give bison a chance. You will thank me. Pros: Great flavor, Low Fat, Great value more

Best Low Fat I Ever Ate 5/15/2003

Those Generous sized Burgers were not only the best, juicey, tasteist burgers I ever ate, they left no greasey aftertaste in my mouth, and with their lowfat content, they are nutritionally superior to any other burger I have ever eaten. Way to go I hope you open locations in ever city. I am a customer for sure. Anyone who complains about the ""grease in Bison meat has not done there homework or dosen't care about their health. Bison is very low in saturated fat, the vast majority of fat in Bison is Omega 3, which is good for you. So those who complain should eat beef, pork or chicken and get a triple by-pass. Pros: Good Value, Great Decor, Everything fresh more

Love Ted's! 2/27/2003

My Mom lives near Peachtree City & whenever I'm in town I make her take me to Ted's. For those of you who have never had a bison burger - try it! I bet you can't tell the difference. Mom & her friends like the bison meatloaf & some go straight for the chicken. The music is a little off - but the decor is fun & the staff is usually good. Pros: food, good parking, casual Cons: music more

Back to Montana! 1/9/2003

Ted's Grill in Peachtree City is really bad. Service is in-attentive, non-existant, don't give a damn. Portions on rib platter was small, greasy. Expensive for what you get. Pros: location, parking Cons: bad service, cold, greasy food, loud music more

Don't squeeze me in!! 10/14/2002

Great food, nice servers, fair pricing. Will go back again-if you're badly claustrophobic you may want to skip this one. Tables are packed on top of one another. Ambiance needs to be upgraded-other than that it's a treat to eat a Bison burger! Pros: Good food, fair prices, nice servers Cons: too small, too crowded more

Hype 8/1/2002

Ted's certainly wasn't especially impressive. The food was fresh and the service was good, but otherwise, just another restaurant. The prices were extremely reasonable, especially for the large portions. I would not go out of my way to return. more
