A nice place to stop and say ""Hello"" 8/1/2008

We're from New Jersey and this was our first trip to NC in many years.Staying at the Teddy bear Motel was one of the highlights of our trip.Sure we really enjoyed the sites and scenery but we meet Martha and Leonard who personified ""Southern Hospitality "" Martha is the heart of the motel and Leonard is the man who makes things run smoothly.By the way,he is a great cook and we enjoyed all our meals at the Teddy Bear restuarant. more

Avoid this motel! 10/17/2007

We thought we were getting a bargin and we got nothing! When we got in our room it smelled so bad! My husband went to the bathroom and it was dirty and the sink was messed up! There was no fridge or microwave. The air coniditon was messed up! There was rodents in the bathroom so I warn you spend an extra 20 and go somewhere else! Pros: n/a Cons: You can hear the cars going by and it is loud! more

Nice Clean place to stay 9/4/2007

My husband and stayed at the Teddy Bear in May and we just loved it. We made planes to come back in Sept and stay for the whole weekend. I just love what they are doing with the place and the couple that run the place are so sweet. We have told everyone we know about this place and will be going back many more times. more
