I've been a vegetarian for about 8 years now...and married to a carnivore for 3 of them. This is the first vegetarian restaurant he's taken me to! I think it is because so many veggie-centric places are intimidating to meat eaters, because they are either too upscale or serve food that only a vegetarian could love. Not so with Teapot. This one has a nice location(away from the Bellevue Square crowds), with soothing decor, music and lots of parking and open tables. The food hails from all over the Asian map and everything I've tried has been great. For purists, the phad thai is great, as are their peanut-sauce dishes (my husband's choices). The crispy tofu is also excellent. One of my favorites was the homemade soup over udon noodles. You can't do much better during this time of year! Also, they seem to be able to create each dish so that it has tons of flavor but is still really healthful. Teapot also has a great assortment of teas, which are served in a mini cast-iron kettle. The prices are reasonable and the servers give great recommendations. I'm glad I live close because I've become a regular.
