An old fashioned toy store with timeless appeal 12/1/2006

I have been buying toys at this store for more than 10 years, but since the new owners have purchased it, the store has improved dramatically. They are enthusiastic about toys and it shows. The store is packed with every kind of toy and I have never failed to find what I need there. From Playmobil to Brio, to puzzles, beautiful blocks from Germany, art supplies, dolls from Europe and wonderful books, this store has high quality chidren's toys of heirloom quality and timeless appeal. The owners are helpful and extremely knowledgeable and never fail to help me select the perfect gift. The best toy store by far I have ever visited. more

I love Teaching Toys!!! 8/7/2006

I have kids from 6 months to 12 years old and I buy all my toys at Teaching Toys. They have really unique things that are always just right -not throw away junky toys. I also do my gift shopping there because they do free gift wrapping -even during the holidays. I have been to toystores in Europe and Asia and all over the United States but I haven't found one I like as much. The staff is knowledgable and helpful. They have never asked me for any personal information. more

Best of the West 8/1/2006

I've shopped toy stores along the west coast from Mexico to Canada, and have never found a store to equal Teaching Toys and Books. Their items are unique, educational, and fun. They have a toy for every occasion, every age, and every pocketbook. Their toys reveal quality workmanship and represent true value. more

Teaching Toys and Books - small but fun! 3/5/2006

Teaching Toys is a very small shop, but it's jam-packed with a variety of fun and educational toys that are really interesting! From scientific experiments to giant stuffed unicorns, this shop has it all. Musical instruments, Legos, science kits, puzzles, music CDs.... are all just a few of the incredible array of terrific items here! The shop offers a frequent-buyer program as well, where you get a punchcard that, filled out, gets you a large shopping spree! more

Great Toys 8/19/2005

If you are looking for unique learning toys and books you will love this store. They have wonderful toys you won't be able to find in a regular toy store. They are different from the regular toys and provide some educational value. They are very well made tool My daughter loves their puzzles. They do ask for some of your personal information but you don't have to give it out if you don't feel comfortable doing it. more
