I used to work at the TCBY on Parkcenter and am proud to say that the root of my ability to provide excellent customer service stems from the training I received there.
I am sad to see however, that the tradition has not followed today's slew of young "yogurt pourers." Two out of every three trips I make there are awkward and uncomfortable.
The visit typically begins by some 16 year old Britney Spears wannabe dragging herself out of the back and up to the counter where she she looks at me like I've just interrupted her nap. After realizing I'm not going to get a, "hi, how are you today?" I just order what I want while she stares at me impatiently (even though I only ordered a small vanilla with sprinkles).
She dumps it on the counter, pushes some buttons, inaudibly mutters the total, runs my card or gets my change and then sheepishly drags herself back into the room she emerged from to return to-what I can only assume-would be her nap.
This is a typical visit, mind you.
If you want yogurt or ice cream, do NOT go to this TCBY if you're expecting any decent level of customer service. It's not gonna happen. I usually leave there feeling the need to apologize for inconveniencing the staff at their place of employment. Strange...
