When I was four I met a man who was so kind to me. He was a dermatologist named Dr. Thomas Taylor and he diagnosed me with Incurable Alopecia Areata, Dr. Taylor sensed my unhappiness with my appearance and my hesitation towards him, but his soft-spoken explanations, gentle touch, and compassionate eyes comfort me. He looked at me as if I had a full head if hair and eyebrows, as if I was normal. The experimental treatment he created for me involving Sand immune pills and dozens of blood draws, led to the re-growth of my hair. Dr. Taylor's consideration of my emotions built trust and self-confidence with me. He gave me hope. Thank you doctor. more

They explained all the risks and benefits of my treatment options. Everything was explained in detail, all my questions were answered, and I felt a lot better about choosing a treatment plan. I was so impressed with the progress I was able to make after visiting them. All my questions were answered, and I feel a lot more confident and hopeful about the future. I got an appointment quickly. I've never had to wait too long. I will absolutely return. I had an amazing experience, and they were by far the best I've ever seen. more

The waiting area here is extremely spacious. There is never overcrowding and everything is spaced appropriately. I love how attentive they are here. Even when notified that they have a personal phone call, they always wait to take it later. Their full attention is always on me and it makes me feel special. They were by far one of the best I've ever seen in their field. It was obvious that they've been exceeding their clients' expectations for many years. I've never had to worry about them being understaffed or not being able to help me right when I need it. They have a huge staff that's very knowledgeable and qualified. They always dress so professionally here, the entire staff obviously makes an effort to look their best and maintain a very professional appearance. more

You know what is awesome about Dr. Taylor and this skin center is that he provides evening appointments. I love that. I have been seeing Dr. Thomas for 4 years now and he has done wonders for my face! My melasma and brown spots have disappeared and I never break out anymore. The staff is courteous and professional and I have never had to wait more than 15-30mins for my appointment. I recommend Dr. Thomas to all of my friends and family! more

Put me at ease 8/31/2011

I have been going to Dr. T for skin treatment since 2009 for phototherapy treatment of my chronic & severe eczema. The doc and his staff have been lifesavers. I previously hated dermatologists because they always pushed aggressive treatments that ended up causing more long-term damage rather than any relief. Thankfully Dr. Thomas is very patient and understanding, and helps me make decisions about my own health. The nurses are the kindest people I have ever met, and they can put me at ease in seconds even during my worst flare-up. more

Skin looked great 8/30/2011

Dr. Taylor has been in private practice since 1992 and his experience shows. i went ahead and took advantage of getting a regretful tattoo removed from my lower back. We had many sessions, which is normal but at the end my skin and back looked great. more

I've been contemplating the removal of my tattoo and after a friend referred me to Dr. Taylor, I knew he was the right person to do this. He had experience and I felt like he treated me with respect and didn't judge me. more

Dr. Taylor treated me like a little girl with an illness, not just like an illness. He never gave up on me, and for that I thank him. His human-to-human interaction drew me to the medical field, and I will always be grateful for that. more

He Didn't Give Up on Me 6/17/2011

I was once a patient of Dr. Taylor. He served as my dermatologist back in 1991 in Tampa, Florida. I was about 4 years old at the time and he diagnosed me with Alopecia Areata. Dr. Taylor's treatment led to the re-growth of my hair. My alopecia remained stable throughout middle and high school. I had a few quarter-sized bald spots throughout my scalp but I could always cover it with my thick, curly hair. I never remember having hair on my arms and legs (which I later found out was a form of Alopecia Universalis). There were some hairstyles I couldn't pull off, but overall I was very happy and active. I thought about Dr. Taylor while I was in middle school and even more when I was in high school. Ever since I can remember, I wanted to be a doctor -- a doctor like Dr. Taylor. I've had many interactions with doctors in my 23 years, but the interactions I remember having with Dr. Taylor were different. Unlike most recent dermatologists, he didn't give up on me. No doctor since Dr. Taylor has gone out of his/her way to treat me. more

Dr. Taylor correctly diagnosed and gave proper treatment for a small skin rash that I had seen another dermatologist for three times and who had been unable to treat the condition properly. Dr. Taylor was also both very punctual and friendly. I enjoyed interacting with him, and thank him. more

Happy with his service 6/16/2011

Over all I was happy with his thoroughness and attention to detail. He answered any questions I had. I'll admit he doesn't hang around to BS, but was certainly pleasant and easy to talk to on each of my visits. Never seemed like he cut stuff off for the sake of it. If he spotted something of concern, he would inform me, and tell me he was going to remove it. Other visits (I went about every 6 months) I got a ""clean bill"". Overall I was very happy with his service. Office staff is friendly. more

Excellent 3/11/2011

I love Dr. Scannon. He is very gentle and comforting. He had to remove a mole for me and it was an easy experience. His staff is also very nice. There may be a wait to get an appointment, but he is worth it. I always recommend him when someone I know needs a dermatologist. more
