I receive a letter from them in January, giving me the date and time of my automatically scheduled appointment. This, at the very least, puts me in the frame of mind to collect the necessary documents. By the time of the appointment, I have nearly 80% of what I need pulled together, making it easy to tie up the loose ends by April.
