The Best! 6/4/2008

After complimenting a friend on her glowing skin, I was referred to Tavin. I was a little aprehensive about having a facial because my skin is VERY sensitive, but I was having a problem with breakouts. After just one facial, which was so relaxing and rejuvitating, my skin improved dramatically. I followed Tavin's recommendations for skin care at home and after just one more facial two months later, my skin is glowing. I get compliments almost daily on how great my skin looks! Tavin is absolutely the best! Pros: easy parking and scheduling, environment, professionalism Cons: none! more

Tavin is the best! 5/23/2008

I found Tavin on City Search for airbrush tanning. She was the best in the city. Since then she is my regular for waxing, facials, and soon I'll see her for a pedicure. I love that she is high tech - she emails you about last minute appointment availability, and with reminders for your upcoming appointments. She's completely professional for bikini waxes, and although I can't say it is absolutely pain free......she just smiles when you call her names :) more

Best thing I ever did for my skin! 5/22/2008

I read the reviews on Citysearch about Tavin and knew this is where I needed to go. It just got better from there. Tavin is super sweet and friendly. At the same time she is very professional and knows her stuff. I was getting breakouts around my chin and mouth area for a few months and couldn't understand why my skin was freaking out so much. She actually asked me if my boyfriend had a beard--not only was that true I had just started dating him a few months before!! She recommended a gentle foaming cleanser to calm my irritated skin. She was so down-to-earth, which I really appreciated. My skin improved almost immediately and has been 100% better ever since! I highly recommend Tavin if you are looking for someone who is knowledgeable, friendly and reasonably priced. Pros: knowledge level of Tavin, reasonable prices Cons: I just wish I could afford to go all of the time! more

Best waxing! 5/11/2007

I found Tavin last year thru City Search. What a find. My daughter and I go for waxings and I will soon be trying out what sounds like an amazing pedicure. Tavin did my daughter's make-up for prom, and we couldn't have been happier. She looked beautiful! The one on one treatments are the best. To top it off Tavin is a wonderful, fun person. We are so glad that we found her. more

Best Place For Individual Experience 5/7/2007

If you like individual attention and not be part of the bigger spa experience, this is the place for you. Tavin's is quiet and you are the only one there during your appointment. I have gone to a lot of spas and she is the best. No matter what service you have, you can count on Tavin giving you the best you have ever had. more

Best Facial in NW Portland 5/3/2007

I had some very difficult problems with the skin on my face and I tried working with several people that did not really try to understand my problem. Tavin took her time and not only understood the problems I had with my face but had the patience to work with me until I saw the results I liked. With her help in clearing up my face was that my self -esteem has grown. She is very enjoyable and creates a relaxing environment; I would highly recommend her to anyone. Thanks Tavin!!! There isn't a category for this, but TAVIN is a miracle-worker when it comes to make-up application. I came to her for last-minute help when I had to have business photos done. Despite my acne, my skin looks flawless in the pictures! more

Great place for men 5/9/2005

I'm not a full-fledged metrosexual, so I was a little nervous about getting my first facial. I was very happy to find that I had Tavin's entire studio to myself when I was there--and the same was true for my two subsequent appointments. Very comfortable environment. As for Tavin herself, I recommend her highly. She's great. And the results were great, too. more

Tavin is truly the best. She is so experienced -- best facial, great makeup -- and the environment is so comfortable. Because she takes clients by appointment, you're the only one there - no noisy big spa atmosphere. I wouldn't go anywhere else! Pros: great parking, inviting atmosphere more
