Located in an ancient Midland Trail tavern, this restaurant is one of the finest in West Virginia. While the wine list is modest, and prices slightly high, the service is attentive and courteous and the food is original and surprisingly excellent. For example, crab cakes (almost totallly crab! like it's supposed to be!) come with a wasaba coleslaw and sweet potato fries. \r

The restaurant has al fresco dining in a beautiful courtyard setting and lovely fireplaces in every room on the inside for winter dining. This is a must stop in Lewisburg.
Pros: Fresh ingredients, lovely setting, outstanding preparation, romantic ambience
