A Michigan gun store will stop selling targets that depict a skeleton holding an AK-47 and wearing a turban after a Muslim civil liberties group voiced concern that the target may cause gun owners to have a negative view of all Muslims.\r \r According to the Detroit Free Press, Dawud Walid, the executive director of the Michigan chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR, voiced his concerns to the owner of Target Sports, in Royal Oak. \r \r After Walid met with the owner, the paper reports, he promised to stop selling the item. \r ---------------------\r \r This is totally unacceptable to bow down to CAIR, a known spokesman for Muslim terrorist groups. \r \r You have forsaken the American people that cherish our freedoms. If you don't stand for something, you will stand for nothing.\r \r I no longer will shop at your store. more

Great place to shoot and buy a new toy!!! 11/11/2010

I think these guys are helpful and friendly. I just bought a 9mm Sig P229. I pretty much knew what I wanted but took awhile to decide between the 226 and 229. I compared prices with other stores and online and they had the best price around. I have rented guns to shoot here many times and every time has been a pleasent experience. First time there I felt weird, being a girl, not sure how they would act. They were great. After the second time shooting with my friend they remembered our names. The salesmen are very friendly and I feel like we became friends during the process of deciding on a gun. They NEVER acted like they were too busy for me. One day some idiot came in with a shot gun NOT in a case. They all reacted quickly and with respect. They are even helpful on the range, I have seen them help others and have helped me too. I say if you need info on a gun or are ready to buy GO TO TARGET! more

Better places in the area 9/5/2010

There are several good gun shops/ranges in the area. This isn't one of them. If you want to do large orders for your police department i have heard they are helpful. If you are just a normal person, you are treated like a waste of there time. more

Affordable but crowded indoor range 2/15/2010

Target Sports is probably the most affodable indoor range around at $9 for a half-hour. Being located near the epicenter of the entire metro-area, though, it can get crowded, so show up either in the middle of the day during the week or first thing on the weekends. They have an excellent inventory of weapons for sale as well as some for rent on the range including AK's and AR-15's... a ton of fun! They have many accessories, too. I bought a top-notch bipod for my hunting rifle there. more

The people are helpful not only did they answer every question i had they explained everything in great detail. I would recommend this store to anyone from the advanced shooter to the beginner. Pros: Outstanding job, knowledgable, friendly, respectful.... Cons: Not enough time or money to spend at the range. more

Let me start by saying "I will never cross the threshold of this business EVER AGAIN"!!!!!! Pros: N/A Cons: Terrible Staff, Bad Parking, Overpriced, oh and don't forget TERRIBLE STAFF! more
