I purchased a perlite christmas tree In Jan 2013 at the orland park store. I opened the box to put the tree up in Nov and discovered the tree was someone's old christmas tree. I took the box back to the store and they said, sorry but there is nothing they can do, call the customer care number. After serveral calls, I reached someone in the customer care and they told me the same thing. Basically I am out of $100.00 and I should have checked the item within 90 days after I purchased it. Who opens up a new packaged taped christmas after the season ends? I am paying for two mistakes. The dishonesty of the person who switched the christmas tree and target store for not holding up the items they are selling. Well all I got was there is nothing I can do. I have documented the complain, and I need to move on to other callers. Well Target lost a valued customer today and I will share my experience with everyone that is willing to listen. I am very disappointed in the store and the policy. In fact, the supervisor was not able to tell me what happens to the information she documented, other than it is reviewed but knows nothing else. What can I say, do not trust what you buy at any Target store, it may contain someone's trash.
