Every Target as a “$1 Spot,” somewhere near the entrance, and I tend to gravitate to that. I suppose the marketing people are doing their job, right? Anyway this particular dollar spot is full of little goodies like gift bags, cook books, hair pins and dvds - all for a dollar. I think it’s worth checking out, maybe to get a special something for a friend or child in your life. It’s fun. Target is multitudes cleaner than its neighbor Super K and their prices on diapers and baby products are cheaper.
The Homewood Target just added a new department featuring furniture and textiles from all around the world. These are things that you would normally see at an import store, like “World Market,” but for slightly less. Although a fellow shopper whispered to me that I could find a beautiful turquoise bowl like the one I was holding much cheaper at Hobby Lobby. All in all, it’s a pretty pleasant shopping experience as long as you steer clear of the children who are playing video games very loudly in the electronics department. Also, remember where you are, this is an upper-scale discount store. If you are going to spent 40 dollars on a pair of jeans, I suggest buying them at The Gap.
