I absolutely without hesitation would recommend Dr. Taras. He always takes his time with you, is very thorough and is incredibly knowledgeable. I am so grateful to have found him! I've been going to the Drs. Taras for 23 years. Dr. Ed was a great doctor, but his bedside manner left something to be desired, but i could ask his office ANYTHING they are terrific...I have seen Dr. Ian just for the last 2 or 3 annual checkups. He has taken time and answered all my questions, he is very knowlegable (like his dad), but his bedside is WAY better. I recommend both doctors highly. more

I have gone to Dr. Taras's office on a few different occasions and he has always been very nice to me. His staff is nice as well. He was referred to me from my sister. She spoke highly of him and I have never felt like I made a bad decision using Dr. Taras for my Gynecologist. I think he's great! He helped me with my PMS problem and he has been a very caring doctor. I will continue to go to him for my checkups. more

Dr. Taras is an amazing gynecologist. You are never rushed and he always has time to answer just one more question. He is always thorough and professional yet is also warm and caring. I, unfortunately, am no longer able to be a patient of Dr. Taras because I now live in Florida, but was his patient for about 5 years and I have never had a better ob/gyn experience!! He delivered my daughter and I always felt confident and comfortable in his care. I have not been able to find a comparable doctor since moving away from California and miss him terribly! I even somtimes still email him questions and even though I'm no longer his patient, he responds quickly and with compassion. Miss you Dr. Taras!! My first meeting with Dr. Taras was under some emergency circumstances. Dr. Taras and his whole staff were amazing and brought me through a very difficult time. Not only did they support and take care of me during this situation, but also my husband. Dr. Taras made sure that he understood everything that was going on with me and was always there with solutions. Pros: He is a surgeon. He is extremely caring and compassionate. Dr. Taras has been my doctor for ten years, and has delivered three of my children. I have also gone through several miscarraiges with him, and he is hands-down the most caring doctor I have ever met. In additon to caring he is also incredibly knowlegable and is extremely accessible. You can write an email to him and receive a very quick response! He really will spend a lot of time with each of his patients, and you always feel like he has plenty of time for you! The staff in his office take his lead and they are sweet and caring and knowledgable as well. The only negative I can say is that I am so sad that he no longer delivers babies! Dr Taras is the best GYN anywhere! He deals with women's issues only. I met Dr T when I as having serious heavy menstrual issues, fibroids, enlarged uterus. He is completely up to date on all the most recent technology and procedures. His bedside manner is consultative, weighing the pros & cons to procedures with you and your input, verses, ""you need to do this."" I became a patient when he had just announced he was no longer OB, which was a big plus for me! Love children, but what a relief that the waiting room does not look like a play pen and your appointment does not get trumped by moms delivering babies. The office staff is excellent too! The best is, the appointments are on time! Like a real business/office should be run. I have recommended several friends and colleagues. Pros: Keeps appointment times! Dr. Taras is the most wonderful obgyn you will ever find. The staff are friendly, personal and just make you feel as if you are the most important person in the world. Dr. Taras is exactly the same as his staff. He really truly cares about his patients and takes the time to explain everything to them. I have loved him as my obgyn and I will continue to see him, no matter where I live! Pros: A good place to be. Cons: Dr. Taras no longer delivers babies. That's the worst part. more

Dr. Ian Taras is absolutely, hands-down, the best gyno I've ever had!!! He is compassionate, considerate, friendly, has an excellent bed-side manner, and makes you feel very comfortable. No matter what the subject (which could be embarrassing or uncomfortable) he always puts you at ease. He's done everything from routine office visits, delivered my youngest daughter (11 yrs ago), performed an endometrial ablation on me, and he is absolutely amazing. His staff is friendly, helpful and courteous as well. I've been seeing Dr. Taras now for about 12 or 13 years. I would recommend him to anyone. He's the best! more

After suffering with female issues for over 20 years-I finally found the BEST Doctor in the state of California! (possibly the world!) From my 1st visit with Dr Taras I was impressed-1st by the amount of time he spent actually talking to and listening to me- nearly an hour and 1/2-almost unheard of these days...and then by his compassion, caring and understanding of my problems. He was the 1st and only DR that I had seen (and I had seen MANY) that offered a less invasive hysterectomy- LSH-(after being told for years that I needed a total hysterectomy) and when I made the decision to finally do it- I had wished that I had found him years earlier. I was able to go home the same evening of my surgery-no overnight hospital stay. And was back to work in less than 2 weeks. In addition to that-Dr Taras has helped me thru this maze of life called menopause with his ability to think outside the ""traditional HRT"" box-and his expertise in bio identical HRT therapies. Dr Taras has made a HUGE difference in the quality of my life. I would recommend him (and have!) to any woman seeking a kind, caring, knowledgeable Doctor. I'd also like to point out that I was adamant on finding a female DR - but decided to try Dr Taras on the recommendation of a female pharmacist.....and I am thrilled that I listened to her. I love Dr. Taras. He's compassionate, sensitive, knowledgable, just wonderful. He was there for my daughter's birth and he was a huge part of my getting pregnant and having a healthy pregnancy. He is great with fertility treatments as well as making you comfortable about discuissing any issues. Great, great, great!!! Pros: everything Cons: doesn't deliver babies anymore more

He made me feel very comforatable to be in the dr's office (in stirrups, no less). His staff is also very helpful and friendly. I've needed prescriptions in between visits and he has phonned them into the pharmacy for me the same day. I'm just disappointed he wont be delivering babbies anymore, because I think he would be an excellent doctor to see you through your most difficult time.
