Fresh, hot, delicious 7/25/2010

This place is marvolous! I am very picky about where I dine-I do not like mass produced frozen meals! I eat here frequently since I found it about a year ago. The food is always very fresh and hot. I Pros: Authentic more

Great for North American-Mexican Fusion, but that's it 8/21/2009

First off, let me say right now that I can't stand fusion cuisine of any kind. Many people in Tucker rave about Los Hermanos because their food is good, for fusion, but it is by no stretch of the imagination Mexican food. Los Hermanos does use fresh ingredients, and their dishes are well presented for a small restaurant in a strip mall. Many of my friends love this place, but I haven't really found one entree that I can get through here without giving up and pushing my plate away -- again because I don't care for fusion cuisine. If you like Mexican fusion, you will love this place. If you want authentic Mexican food, look elsewhere. Pros: Fresh ingredients, novel entrees Cons: Not even close to real Mexican cuisine more

Muy Bien! 6/8/2009

This is the best Mexican in town, hands down! The food is fresh and always very tasty. I have not had a bad experience here even once and I have been going here for years! Pros: Food, excellent! Staff, very friendly! Cons: Haven't met one yet. more

Avoid take-out if you have a food allergy or just want your order correct 11/23/2008

Take out orders have been filled incorrectly too many times to go back for take out. Menu is creative for a strip mall but do not order take out unless you don't care what they put in your order. They mix things up like giving you extra of an ingredient you want omitted, omit what you ask for, leave out the extra sides and charge you and even mix up steak and chicken. If you have a food allergy or just want what you pay for, avoid take out and dine- in instead so you can send it back if they get it wrong. Will say I will miss their food but not their accuracy because we will never go back there again. Too many other places get it right, like Sangria's in Tucker and El Tesoro in Decatur. Pros: creative menu Cons: Take out orders consistently filled wrong more

Do Yourself a Favor and Eat Here ASAP 8/21/2008

This is by far the best Mexican restaraunt I have EVER been to. The salsa is fresh and the tacos are delicious. I always get the tacos pastor (pork) and the philly tacos (steak, onions, mushrooms, and cream sauce), but everything here is good. Both the tortilla soup and the shrimp soup are to die for. You must try the Tres Leches for dessert I want it for my wedding cake one day...it is that good!!! It is the most moist cake you will ever put in your mouth and it is topped with fresh fruit. I wasn't even a big fan of Mexican food before I discovered this place. Now, when I have cravings, I crave this place. Pros: Food and Service Cons: n/a more

Best Mexican in Atlanta! 8/5/2008

My wife and I frequent Taueria Los Hermanos, or ""the Hermans"" as I like to call it. It has hands down the best mexican food I have ever had. It isn't one of those order by number mexican places where the food comes out in 2 minutes because the microwaved. No, this place is different, they actually cook the food and all of it great! I would recommend all of the tacos. As for entrees you can't beat the Shrimp and Crawfish enchlidas! Pros: Great food! Cons: None that I have found! more

Raises my expectations of Mexican food in the Atlanta area 11/22/2006

As someone with a multitude of culinary exploits in Arizona, Southern California, and Mexico, I was initially skeptical that I could find anything outside of the Buford Hwy. corridor that was comparable in term of authentic Mexican cuisine and dished out at a reasonable price in the metro Atlanta area. Pros: Friendly Staff, Enjoyable Dining Room Ambiance, Great Food Cons: No hard stuff, so no margaritas. more

BEST MEXICAN ANYWHERE AND HAS EXPANDED FOR MORE ROOM 9/20/2006

this is as great as everyone says it is.....with an added comment THEY HAVE ENLARGED THE DINING AREA AND CAN ACCOMIDATE MORE PEOPLE come one come all Pros: all the dishes are fresh and delicious more

Best Mexican you will probably ever eat and great prices 9/10/2006

If you haven't been here then you haven't eaten truly great Mexican food. We go at least twice a week and now that they have expanded there isn't as much of a wait at peak hours. Forget the same routine of eating cafeteria quality Mexican that can be found a hundred places in the city; make the drive and try this place. TRUST ME! Everything is FRESH and doesn't taste like it was made in a factory then put under a hot lamp for 6 hours. And the price is more than a great value for what you're getting. Oh yeah, be sure to not over order. Their portions are HUGE. Try the California Quesadilla and the Chicken Tortilla soup. Best things on the menu. Pros: BEST MEXICAN FOOD EVER! Fast service, Good value Cons: In the burbs more

WOW extroidinare quality at an affordable price 7/27/2006

Yes, its in a strip mall next to the Publix in Tucker on Hugh Howell just past the Chick Fillet where Lawrenceville Highway takes a sharp left turn and then intersects with the end of LaVista. However, the Parilla de Camarones (grilled shrimp) was awesome. There were 12 large butterflied shrimp that tasted like lobster. They were served with grilled asparagus and grilled roasted potatoes. The flank steak with a cheese enchalada with green sauce, grilled roasted potatoes and asparagus was awesome. Everyone at the table raved about the food from the fish tacos to the grouper special of the day. The portions were large but evryone ate everything! Even the smallest detail, like the avacado dip with the not greasy chips, was over the top. The pico de gallo was fresh and made with fresh herbs. Yes, its located in a strip mall but this is the best Mexican food I' ve ever eaten (even in Mexico). The guys who own this place used to be the chefs at Sundown cafe on Cheshire Bridge. Pros: Incredible "Muy Bueno" Mexican Food. No numbered entrees on the menu. Cons: To not deal with children of bad parents eat after 7:30PM more

Best Mexican in Atlanta 7/19/2006

Sure, it's small and yes, there are lines on weekends, but it is worth the wait! The service is always fast and friendly. Not your typical Mexican at all -- everything takes fresh and delicious. The California Quesidilla is the best with pieces of fresh vegetables that taste like fresh vegetables. And don't forget the tre leche cake. Remarkable! Pros: The food, the service, the food Cons: OK, it's small -- or is it that just too many people have discovered it? more

great food in a small place 1/28/2005

My favorite Mesxican restaurant in all of Atlanta located in ""the unknown place to eat"" city of Tucker. The chicken tortilla soup is very very good. Chicken, tortilla strips, advacado cubes and some carrot cubes in a very tastey broth with a slice of lime. Fish tacos are great and have jalapeno tartar and banana pepper escabache. Tacos al pastor are a must try and the best item on the menu. They have home made tamales only on weekends and on a limited availability. Expect to wait on weekend nights. Pros: tortilla soup, fish tacos, family owned & ran Cons: waits on weekends more

SO GOOD! 5/28/2003

If you ever wanted some REAL mexican that taste good then come to this place. We were one of the first people to come to the restraunt. They know the family by name now and usally what we want to eat. I have to say that everything on the menu is great. My favorites are the Chicken nachos, Philly taco, and the asada taco. Also the chocolate- strawberry cake is amazing. melts in your mouth. On fridays try their tamilies. The mother comes in to make them and they are really good. I like the chicken more than the pork, but thats just me. Check them out if you are in the tucker area. And rumor has it that they are planning to expand somewhere. Pros: Friendlyness, Deserts, amosphere more

Great Corn and Shrimp Chowder 1/12/2003

Really tasty food... Reminded me of a great Mexican meal I had in Houston Texas. Not your ordinary every thing tastes the same TexMex. Very Fresh. Grand Mom makes homemade Tamales and Desserts (ask for them). They are planning to expand (and need to). more

Great Food 9/24/2002

This is a great restaurant if you're tired of the 'combo 1-2-3' places. They offer great tacos, made from pork, beef, vegetables, and fish. The california quesadilla is wonderful. It's huge. The salsa is okay. The guacamole is good too. The restaurant is small, so there is limited seating. Pros: great food, wonderful quesadillas Cons: small restaurant more
