THE SCENE: Clean, spacious (perfect for dining in large groups), the restaurant gives options for booth sitting or large tables. Most of the employees belong to the same family (Mexican immingrants). The entire staff understands English, but most respond only in Spanish.
THE FOOD: Generous portions of entrees such as Green Chicken Enchiladas (the sauce is green, not the chicken!) and Jalisco-style Chicken (A boneless chicken breast pan-seared then topped with mushrooms, shrimp, and white cheese) leave smiles behind. A bowl of charro beans is a good alternate dip for the tortilla, and sometimes fried flour tortilla chips. The lemonade is freshly squeezed and the Horchata (rice water with vanilla) goes great with the pan dulce (sweetbread).
