Sunny-toned murals splash this casual Mediterranean cafe with color. It's just big enough to squeeze eight bar stool tables, one hostess and the bevy of students that frequent the two mosaic tiled bars. The bar stays open later, turning into a hang out for neighborhood bartenders and waiters after work.
The Food
A daily list of chalkboard specials highlight the "after five" menu. A selection of pasta, meat and vegetable dishes like lobster mashed potatoes (a buttery mix of tender meat and creamy potatoes) add to menu mainstays. The Basque flatbread pizza is a delicious tapa of herb sausage, mushrooms, brie, ricotta and sundried tomatoes. The entirely vegetarian falafel sandwich stuffs a pita with crisp golden chickpea and fava bean patties. Freshness is guaranteed-they don't even own a freezer.
