Best beer selection in south florida- like it even better than yardhouse- more interesting beers- downfall of this place has always been the horrendous service since they opened and it continues- happy hour is 4-7 supposed to be half off on all beers but about fifty percent of the time I get charged full price and they have to redo the check( the same bartender Sara has done this three times to me)- not sure if they pocket the money or the management wants them to charge full price- half off is great deal but if they aren't willing to give it then shouldn't promote it. COmplained to the manager Andy, who did nothing except say sorry. Lady's night is also another gimmick- they advertise free drinks- turns out it is only applicable for like two beers( newcastle etcc - not the good beers). Food is awful- hamburgers , fries etc. Great place to get some good beers- Bear Republic etc but otherwise not a big fan. Yardhouse is much better run as is Big Bear Brewery. more

Though the food was good, it was overpriced. I'd go back for happy hour beer, but not food. more

I've read bad reviews for this place but we liked it very much. We had Nicole for our server, she was great and we enjoyed our dinners. I recommend tap 42 more

Maybe our visit last week was the exception, but we had a wonderful server, the food was great, the beers were cold. Three of us had a table for lunch; two burgers and a turkey sandwich, and they were all excellent. The server was friendly and fairly knowledgeable about the brews. They had run out of one beer, and the manager came over to apologize. We're going back today! more

Loved the ambiance, decor, lounge vibe and chill-out music! We went this past Friday night around 5:45 for happy hour and the place was already packed. Loved that they have a great selection of unique craft beers on tap, especially my favorite Delirium, however that's where the positives end. \r The bartenders are all on a huge ego/power-trip, and definitely pay very very close attention to the negative reviews commenting on the service at this place because they are BEYOND accurate to a tee. After being glanced at and unacknowledged for about 10 minutes standing there with my co-worker, he had to grab a bartenders attention, apparently over by their "service area" and ordered our drinks. After he ordered, we received an EXTREMELY rude, blonde bartenders demand, using and waving his hands to "move out of his service area, as it's not for the customers". (You look great we are all REALLY impressed.) Fact of the matter is, he wouldn't have had to be in your "service area" to order our drinks if you were acknowledging us in the first place and doing your job.\r My advice to the management here is that it would be much more effective from a business perspective to hire bartenders that acknowledge and know how to treat their customers, especially first time ones. First impressions are forever lasting. Overall, loved the beer and atmosphere but would take Yardhouse any day over this place until new staff is hired that know how to perform with the utmost professionalism. more

Friends raved about brunch. We gave it a try and sat outside. It really is awesome, unless it is a monsoon outside, which it was (not their fault). We ordered our food and the staff was great about keeping our glasses filled. It was raining so hard that they held our food (understandable), but when they did bring it..every plate was ice cold. Eggs are not fun or good ice cold. Not one "sorry", not anything. We gave them the benefit of the doubt as it was a crazy day.\r The next Sunday we try one more time. It is a beautiful day and we sit outside. Our server was sweet as pie, but we had to wait quite a while for drinks. Would not be such a big deal, but it was not busy. Finally order and we get our food....cold AGAIN!! Not only one plate, but five out of six plates. The sixth does not count...it was a salad. C'mon get it together we cannot use the same "mother nature" excuse this time. Is it the servers, the food runners, or the kitchen? It makes me nuts. The menu is great, the atmosphere is awesome, and the food certainly has potential. Maybe I should order something cold and it would not be an issue.\r I want to like you, but TAP you are KILLING me! more

Came in, got a spot at the bar, watched bartenders pass me by multiple times for 10 min.... Got up and left.. Never again I'm gonna waste my time on that place. more

I have been there 3 times (with 5 different people) and the food has always been horrible. I thought maybe it was because the 1st time I went they had just recently opened, but after 2 more disappointing Visits I won't be going back. They do have one \r of my favorite beers, but the food is awfule. more

I have had dinner here a few times the place is over crowded and very loud. And the food is rushed out and last few times way under cooked. more

Me and the girls went here for the first time last week after hearing so many people talking about it. It was Wednesday nite (ladies nite) and it was totally packed. We were immediately blown away by the outdoor patio--so cool !! The interior design is the most interesting we have seen anywhere--totally unique. The whole place had a great feel and alot of good looking people. We sat outside under the stars and really enjoyed ourselves. We oredered some appetizers and a burger. The food was excellent and the burger we all agreed was the best we have had in Ft Lauderdale. None of us had been down this part of Andrews Avenue before, but looking around, and talking to people, we realized the area is really nice and safe-- we all felt much safer than down at Himarrshee. We are going back again Friday nite which we hear is also really packed. Its great to have a cool place to hang that isnt snooty or a dump. Way to go TAP !!! more

Tap 42 is a great place but the service is awful! They treat you like trash and they make you wait for a very long time if you don't keep an eye on the wait for a table they will pass you and then tell you that you weren't next even though it's right In front of your eyes at the hostess table. And don't even try with the hostess or the manger it's sad that the food and drinks are good but it's not worth all the b/s they serve with your meal. more

The drinks...fair priced and a good happy hour, cool atmosphere and great potential. But the staff is HORRIBLE. From the greeters to the bartenders, with their frat house "like totally" attitude and total lack of attention to the customer, I'd say they need some major training or just replace them altogether with bartenders who are there to serve drinks and earn their tips....what's worse is this was a Wednesday afternoon, they weren't slammed and still were to consumed with themselves to care about the customers more

The worst service! The sliders were not as bad the service and we had only two bites of one before calling it quits. If you are going to give this place a try then make sure you eat before u go and bring cash so you can just leave it on the table and don't haft to wait. It's a shame this place is so mismanaged in the front and back of the house. more

Awesome! If you're in search of good food, good beer, and a good time, Tap 42 is the place to be. The atmosphere is very inviting and you're bound to meet some hotties while watching a game. My buddies and I meet up every Thursday at Tap 42, it's like a ritual. more

Food not good and pricey. Happy hour only at the bar. No free parking and it's in the hood. I guess the crowd that's there thinks its a cool trendy place to hang out. I just don't get it! more

Went to Tap 42 for the first time tonight and everything was great except for a couple things. First of all the bartender approached me quickly and with a smile, but whats with that guy with a slicked back haircut who looked like he was on some serious drugs?? Walking around behind the bar looking like he was mad at the world, he looked like he was going to kill someone. I was really creeped out. Well back to the good. The food was awesome! Had the Prohibition burger. It took about 45 minutes to get my food, but no complaints because when it finally arrived it was awesome! Cooked to perfection, and the sauce that was on it was delicious. Also loved the fries. Had four beers I never had before and the bartender selected each one for me each of which was to my liking. Cant wait to go back! more

Busy new place. Flashy like a sports bar on Las Olas with small, Non-HD TV's. Could have spent a few more dollars for larger screens. They need to understand they are located in 'the hood' on Andrews. You cannot charge Las Olas prices at a neighborhood establishment. Very expensive for the quality. Prices equal those on Las Olas or Hard Rock but it is in the hood with no other draw or spots within walking distance. My guess is they are trying to recoup the cost of rehab from the former Brownies bar. Get a clue, your rent is cheap compared to Las Olas, stop charging like you are there. more

Interior/exterior fab, definitly meant to fill a whole in the FLL scene. That being said, the food leaves so much to be desired. Hubby had a great burger but that is where it ended. Could not even eat the mussels, hated the broth. The perogies were not perogies at all - still not sure what they are trying to do there. Great potential but still lots of work to do to make a repeat destination. more
