We arrived at Tanuki at 7:25 on a Saturday night. There were four other parties in the entire restaurant. When we decided to leave at 7:45, we had empty water glasses, and no one had even taken our order. From what we could tell, there was one server and one chef. The restaurant is located in a strip mall, the walls are white with no decorations, and the atmosphere was anything but intimate. Not only is this the worst sushi restaurant in Nashville, but it could be the worst restaurant in Nashville. Period. Pros: extensive menu Cons: , no atmosphere more

It's about the food! 1/24/2004

If you are looking for good food and service this is the place. Not much to look at but the food makes up for it. Extensive menu with many authentic japanese choices plus specials when you ask the sushi chef to make something new! This is our favorite place to eat sushi in nashville 3 years running. Also a great place to eat in Antioch with no waiting on a Friday or Saturday nite becuase not everyone knows it's there. Try #43 ebi gratin!!! Oh my goodness! They really have the BEST sushi in town and it is at such a good price! Their crunchy shrimp roll is the best I've ever tasted country wide. They have got a great lunch menu if you want sushi rolls. This little place is a hidden GEM in LA(little Antioch)! I will say that they are busy, but is SO worth the wait!
